Cloud9 have signed Korean team Kongdoo Panthera. Regarded as one of the best rosters in Overwatch after placing second in APEX Season 3, the team will continue to compete in this season of APEX under the name Cloud9 KongDoo. They will play under their new name and logo for the first time in their Quarterfinals Group A Winners’ match against NC Foxes.

Kongdoo's statement on the move specified that the team will join Cloud9 in the West after the conclusion of APEX Season 4. The signing comes after Cloud9 released a public announcement that they were looking for a Korean Overwatch roster to join their ranks. The focus of the organisation is now reportedly on building around their Korean roster for the Overwatch League.
