What do you need? What's missing in your life? How can we fill the void in your Overwatch esports experience?

The last six months of updates we have rolled out events, team profiles, team rankings and search functionality.

We've expanded the scope of our coverage to encompass the globe and recruited a slave army to do it.

We are grateful to everyone that keeps the scene alive: our users, our shitposters, our crew, the players, the teams, the organisers and of course big papa Blizz.

Overwatch isn't going away and neither are we.

Hey people. First of all I would like to thank everyone on the over.gg for their dedication to the overwatch scene.

As a daily user and frequent user, what I like about over.gg is that the over.gg team often is always fast with developments on the OW-scene. Furthermore I like the simplicity of the website and how user-friendly it is.

What I would recommend is to categorize your news articles (example given: Team Roster News, Tournament News, Player News etc.) I am sure you will figure something out if you dedicate to that :)

What would be a nice feature, but wouldn't be necessary is if tutorials from the pros on certain items (For example the tutorial IDDQD did on hitscan tips and tricks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0rREoBLf4k&t=1s)).

Really no downsides to the website. Keep up to good work people!

-Players profiles (main heros, teams theye were on etc)
-what players were on teams, when they were switched/left
-not sure how you could do it but would it be possible to not need to refrashe match page for results in ongoing games? (not important)
-maybe make sizes of team logos more consistant. When you open different matches you can notice it coz the whole page is laid little bit differently (schedule gets moved up or down depending on this) again its not important
-notification when someone quotes your comment

edit: i missed part of "what you like" ;) site is super clean and very intuitional, great articles

Push notifications (dont know if you need an app for that, I'm not a computer man) for match results would be cool. Maybe users could follow teams and tournaments and then they'd get notifications based on who they follow.

R3: Real-time Results Refreshing. Just put some JS function with AJAX calls that refreshes every 30s or so, so that users don't even need to refresh manually.

Also player profiles and a dark theme :^)

Other than that the website is super great, you guys are doing an amazing job, keep it up!

A filter to display what matches (or maybe even streams) that a user would like to see that are upcoming would be nice since not everyone unfortunately has all the time in the world to watch matches from every region.

Also can there be an exchange rate of nerd stars so I can transfer over my nerd stars from tftv

Other than that there's a lot that's been done very well already

The group stage results of Contenders were super confusing because the checkbox and x showed up after the first day of group stage play. Some way to wait to apply those tags would be less confusing.

What I love about Overgg is how much the staff are involved with the community, the community itself, it isn't reddit, its a good platform for discussion and more...

What can be done better would be notifications of when you're quoted or mentioned by username

What pisses me off is when I watch a match and Sideshow is casting hehe

In regards to other communities I come from ESEA and being able to quote by typing the post # was really convenient, also maybe more coverage of lower level teams like Prestige Worldwide, Vice, Bazooka Puppies etc... In regards to roster swaps and acquisitions of lower level teams from orgs

Love the website, it's my go-to almost every day for all Overwatch news and keeping track of scores and events. A few things that would be nice to see is to see player profiles, actual season-5 and future seasons ladder rankings, and most definitely flares for different teams.

The thing I want to see most however, (which I don't believe has been mentioned) would be a video section. This could include maybe over.gg's version of a weekly news show, exclusive interviews with players, coaches, and casters, and also include highlight reels. I would love to see like a 2-5 minute highlight video for all games that took place, instead of having to go through a whole vod to find a few wow moments. Just some things to take into consideration.

Something about the site not having a footer makes me mildly uncomfortable.

A sidebar while viewing articles/reading threads would give more of a sense of place, I think.

Sorted/threaded comments are sometimes considered desirable features, although I can understand why you've chosen not to use them.

Let us see upcoming tournaments teams play in on their team pages, regardless of their matches being unscheduled (for example if C9 is playing in an upcoming tournament, but who and when theyre playing isnt announced yet in the bracket it wont appear on their team page)
