Rogue 4-0
Frankly saying I don't think FNRGFE performed both previous matches, if they did they have the potetial to beat even faze imo.
Although FNRGFE are on a 0-2 streak I haven't lost faith. Really hope the corndogs step up their game next week. Soon they will show what they're worth.
I don't know what to comment on Rogue because I haven't watched their last match and can't comprehend their current form
FNRGFE could take this 3-2/3-1 if they don't get rolled everytime on street phrase
Cheer for my bois Muma and cw ples no reverse Kungarna
Kungarna and FaZe have both proved that they are good teams. Rogue has been beaten EnVision and didn't do there best against RNG, which is arguably the worst team in the tournament. Both teams have to prove themselves here.
But I gotta cheer for my boy Muma. Here's hoping he doesn't mess up his rollout Kappa
FNRGFE 3-1
Rogue hasn't looked good for a while and even though they managed to beat RNG it wasn't as clean as it once would have been. I will however give them the edge here given that FNRGFE have often failed to capitalize on opportunities they've made for themselves and that I've not sure they have a direct counter to Soon. Rogue has, imo, relied too heavily on him to get opening picks and win fight from their, but when he's able to do just that they usually follow up on it.
I think that Rogue win 3-1, but that the score could easily be reversed if Soon is kept in check and that Rogue isn't able to run triple DPS w/o being punished.
I agree that they've looked better when he runs the D.Va but I think that's because the current meta requires it. His Genji is actually pretty good when given the space he needs to capitalize on Soon's engagements. It's not at SDB levels but it's high enough not to be a liability, meta permitting.
If D.Va becomes less of a requirement I can see them trying out the triple DPS comp again to see if it works.
His Genji is really good, he proved it many times during their prime. But it actually is a liability when he keeps on playing Genji when it clearly is not working anymore (i.e. both previous weeks in Contenders).
And about the meta, especially dive wise (which is what Rogue plays 24 7), nothing really changed yet. It's just the other teams adapting to them.
You gotta put yourself in their shoes, Rogue has been dominating for months, so every team was looking at their vods and studying their playstyle more than others.
It's also on Rogue to renew themselves and figure out new ways to come out on top, which they have failed to do.
I think there will be roster changes, solely for the fact that they don't run Rein comps. And I don't care how much they say they can run Rein and they're confident in their Rein comps, I don't buy it.
100% agree, they don't have the hero pools to win in this new meta. Right now the only players I can see being relatively safe are Soon, Unkoe and Winz (if he decide to call it a day they can move Knoxx back).
They need a flexible main tank, an actual flex tank player and a flex dps with a relatively wide pool. I know Soon can play some other heroes but unless they can pull an EnvyUs he's probably better staying on the Tracer since h's so effective.
The other solution is to just dump the whole squad and start fresh, maybe even dump the all french thing they got if they can't find solid talent that slots in.
Rogue's starts just seem so weak and predictable. They actually tried the same thing 4 times before they decided to change it up and actually take the first point.
It's like they can't figure out new comps/strats to use effectively and just default to the ones others have now had over 8 months to figure out. Note that I'm not including AKM's Sombra play, since it was...really bad, a lot of EMPs being used when no one else is around to follow up.
Really disappointing showing from Rogue, this complete lack of adaptability needs to be addressed in one way or another.
They're phoenixes. They will rise again. Its a cycle of ups/downs with them if you look at their history (previous rogue roster to current one). Not surprised. The shakedown of teams, the ones that are consistently good (enough), bad, up/down is now being established before OWL. Interesting to see the development of team personalities for this nascent esport.
They need to regroup all together back in Vegas as fast as possible.
This period of transition in Canada does not allow them to play in the best conditions (it is even rather delicate). They must not hide behind all of this but let's talk about it when everything is settled on their side... hopefully soon.
