From Friday, November 20 through Monday, November 23, we'll be conducting our first invitation-only Beta Test Weekend. During this three-day event, we'll be opening up Overwatch beta (for a limited time) to a lot more players from our Americas and Europe gameplay regions.

I wouldn't get too excited. This is more of a stress test than anything else. There's a chance they invite thousands of players only to find the servers have major issues and people can't play at all. I hope for Blizzard's sake that isn't the case or the backlash they are going to receive will be immense.

Let's hope it all goes smoothly and a load more of the TF2 community can get to try out this game first hand.

Apparently you get an install button but it doesnt show on your account page.

I'm happy because i got the install button but sad because I'll only be able to play for the weekend.

I would love to get longer access.

Yes. You get a separate email for that, though, so if you only get the weekend email, you're not in the closed beta.

They sent out full beta invites at the same time as the weekend ones, you either got one or you didn't. There's nothing you can do to change your status.
