The Florida Mayhem have picked up Sayaplayer and aWesomeGuy, both formerly of Meta Athena. This comes just a day after the team announced their signing of former Meta Athena head coach r2der.

Sayaplayer has been a member of Meta Athena since the team first entered the spotlight in APEX Season 2 where the team finished 4th. He has been consistently praised as one of the world's premier hitscan players, especially on Tracer. aWesomeGuy, who has more recently played under the name SNT, was a more recent addition to Meta Athena, having only played for them in the Nexus Cup. Prior to his stint on Meta Athena, he played for LuxuryWatch Red but found little success with the organization.

Florida began the season with the smallest roster and coaching staff in the League, fielding only six players and one coach. Since the midseason transfer window has opened, the team has added another coach and three new players. The Meta Athena squad joins zappis as the team's newest acquisitions ahead of Stage 2.
