FLAG OVERLOAD
Winter Wonderland 2017
I’m not sure if this is the team to try it against but eventually I would love to see seagull on gengi/pharah just a little more and have effect back on tracer and see what the fuel would look like diving.. Dallas feels predictable.. sometimes maybe a quad tank on attack first point lunar we see from them.. and if we don’t see seagull on more projectile characters other than junkrat in this stage it makes me wonder if he’s working on his off tank.. his zarya isn’t far off OWL standard although zarya is pretty one dimensional, but if he levels up his DVa/roadhog it’ll give them more in game flexibility when aKm arrives. I’m definitely curious what hero pool seagull ends up playing as the year goes on.
If Taimou and Harry are ready to play, the Fuel anti-dive will be too strong. The new Fusion, playing a slower dive with Hotba, could be punished hard by a Taimou hog or good support positioning from the chips/harry duo.
However, without knowing who will be playing which maps for both teams its hard to predict...
3-1 Fuel
I do think it's 60% the meta and 40% something else. They've never been a strong dive team, and managed to get away with it by exploiting other teams not being as polished on the dive as they could be. However most OWL teams have been built around dive comps, so are inherently better at playing it. Fuel picked up xQc to fill the gap, but he got himself suspended. I'd imagine now they've written this stage off and are practicing to dominate the next stage.
At least I hope so.
I think it has a lot to do with current meta. HarryHook is one of the best Lucio (probably 2nd best after Tobi), and Chips is one of the best Ana. But both supports are playing the characters they are not comfortable on right now.
EnvyUs was so strong because they had one of top DPS players, one of top support players, and quite competitive tanks. Now, pretty much all OWL teams have top notch DPS players, and it's the tanks and support who need to step up and bring the difference. I don't think tanks in DF are above top OWL teams, and supports can't do much better in current meta. So it's not really a big surprise that Dallas Fuel isn't doing so well.
I'm not sure how much meta change will occur with the Mercy nerf, but if we start to see more Lucio and Ana, I think Dallas Fuel will begin to show better performance.
Yes. Mercy is a hero that i'm sure none of their supports have really played. I mean, Mercy is a different support because she doesnt require mechanical skill, but instead Ult management and positioning. But mercy positioning is different from other supports. She needs to be up in the battle, but has to veer away from the fights as to not take damage, yet not too far as to be easily picked off
I'm pretty sure nobody thought a mercy meta would actually happen but here we are. I'm sure this, mixed with Taimou's slump and communication problems is causing Dallas to be in such horrible shape
