The rematch. With both teams seemingly on a slump I would give this to IMT as Nico just isn't as a solidified D.va player and Hyped or Envy. Still should be an interesting match.
Rogue has been shaky, but no where near as shaky as IMT. Rogue is the favourites for this. IMT has their work cut out for them. Grim has been invisible all season long. Kariv has fallen off his Zen. Fate has just turned into a plat player this season. They need these members to perform if they want to match up to Knoxx, unkoe and Soon. All incredible players in their own right. And if IMT stubbornly continues to play Envy over Hyped, I'm just going to call a Rogue win right there.
Expecting Rogue to win 3-2 or 3-1. Despite the slump, Rogue is still an experienced world class team.
After tonight's loss to FNRGFE I'd say Rogue look even more shaky than IMT, though not by much. I do think that IMT is in a better place because they're in a better position to adapt to the changing meta, where as Rogue don't have the players/roles to get it done, imo.
Will be interesting who comes out on top tomorrow to maybe give themselves a chance at making top 4.
I'd have to disagree on Rogue having the better chances. They have yet to play EnvyUs or FaZe while IMT already has. Add to that the fact that they just lost to FNRGFE and it's not looking good. I fully believe IMT has a realistic chance of winning enough matches to get in since their issues seem to lie in coordination instead of lacks in hero pool.
I think IMT win this 3-1 or 3-2.
This close to OWL and with how their games went, pressure will be on, and the game will hopefully surpass expectations.
I'm predicting a 3-1 Rogue but nothing to base on it, both teams played equally bad, and both of them know it.
I believe that Soon and aKm easily have the upper hand on Grim and Agilities, but IMT has been running Rein a lot in their games so it might force the same out of Rogue, depending on map choices.
Excited for this one.
I'm predicting a 3-1 for IMT. In past tournaments whenever IMT were in a slump, and it came to be make-or-break time, Immortals pulled it through and didn't disappoint. I hope for the same here, and I just see Rogue as too shaky to take them on. Immortals did look much better Friday, and took a stron Faze Clan to 5 games, so I tiphink they'll win it, and begin their possible road to playoffs.
As much as Rogue looked one dimensional against FNRGFE, IMT are even worst right now. Grim needs to step it up, he's just not cutting it, whether he needs to change his play style or just not play the Tracer into Soon, something needs to change.
Fate keep jumping in early and/or too far and getting focused, and Kariv is ulting even earlier than Unkoe giving the advantage over to Rogue.
Not sure why they're so disconnected right now but they certainly have many issues that have not been addressed.
Edit: IMT focus fire is almost non existent, just all over the place.
Agreed, I still had hopes they would somehow get it together after winning Gibraltar but it just didn't happen. Overall though they looked more competitive in their matches against both FaZe and Rogue than they did against nV and eV, so I'll take the scraps of positivity and make a good thing out of it.
If they keep improving they have a realistic chance of winning their next three matches, with tKUN probably being the most difficult remaining team they have to face.
Knoxxx looked very uncomfortable on Rein. Holding shield too much against what IMT was running, not a good sign. Nico's Zarya was good tough, and Soon's Doomfist was not anything crazy but definitely did the job.
Numbani was quite a game, both teams looked good defense wise, IMT looking more and more coordinated by the week. But Soon was easily the difference maker. That guy is so smart.
Fate carried Hanamura hands down. Nothing else to say besides IMT c9ing 2nd point to a Tac Visor. They C9ed King's Row 2nd 2 days ago to a Deadeye. :thankong:
My boy Soon as usual came to play and put the big boi pants on, never have I seen him not be up to par, or better even. Farmed Kariv with Knoxxx on Gibraltar. Indirectly responsible for the C9, since Verbo got the kill on him right before the timer ran out, and Verbo is cart man.
Envy is getting better and better each weak, still some wtf are you doing moments but him and Fate are playing way better together.
