EXL-Esports will field two players from the EXL-CLEA team that placed 7th in Trials Korea Season 1, namely Xer0eR and Melon. Otherwise, the roster consists of relatively inexperienced up-and-coming-talents.
The level of play in Pacific Contenders is expected to drop off to an extent in Season 2 due to the departure of the dominant champions DeToNator Korea. Nevertheless, EXL will have their work cut out for them if they wish to find success, with two new Korean rosters qualifying for the tournament through Trials.
