The main tourist attraction in Chengdu is the panda zoo, they didn't have to think too far
What the hell went through their mind when designing the twitter logo? The contrast is so poor it looks amateurish
The contrast looks good on doomfist's shoulder, they should pick this kind of blue
look at this team, we're gonna do great
I cannot watch the reveal video rn, why is Puckett there?
SoOn to Paris = $$$merchandising$$$
As people said on twitter : contenders champions are back to trial... Road to pro much
Stability of T2 in a nutshell
I hope this means Hidan in OWL
I feel like having a french core would be a mistake, french people have a tendency to speak french when they're the majority in a group, and as a result any non-french speaking in this team would feel lost and stranded
Either full french or 1-2 frenchies are the way to go imo
Edit : I don't have the specifics but I'm thinking skipjack in rogue
This makes sense, he's just an angry kid out for blood and clicks, I hope his viewers realize that and he falls into oblivion
Anything would be better than this clickbatey crap people call "content"
I'm not really interested in giving clicks to mykL
Is it online? Is nico gonna play? He has to play for france in paris on the next day
"fueled* speculation" right?
Their new team(s) could have let them play this one last tournament before heading to their new owners, it's still valuable experience to get imo
Yup China Standard Time, my bad!
Oh CST doesn't stand for Central Standard Time but China Standard Time, everything is fine, moving on!
I changed my locale to asia/shanghai but the match ticker still shows times in CST.
I used a vpn based in the USA at first but deactivated it since so I don't know if it's related. I tried to log out / log in
That may be true for you but when boston dropped dream I lost interest in their team. Also how many viewers started to root for GLA once they picked Fissure and started to look like an entity? I couldn't care less about one organization or the others, I only root for the players I like. Until Paris joins next season of course :)
You can't deny a lot of people cheer for a team solely for their players and not for the colour, name or hometown factor. Some don't give a crap about where they live or where they come from (they don't belong anywhere) others (like wentaway and 95% of the EU viewerbase) have no team to identify to in the league. Also I bet a lot of viewers are huge fans of one or many players just because they like their attitude or they followed their story since beta, and that's the whole point of the behind the scene videos the teams publish : building a story through their players and staff. All in all I'd wager it's a pretty big market they discard by firing their whole team and erasing the identity they built
Sounds like a full year paid sick leave to me, but if they decided to keep him it must be something else
"San Francisco Shoch" great article though I had no idea where he came from
As much as I like Ado, Fearless and Geguri I wish SHD would go full chinese, but if they want to keep it international they must have their reasons
Thanks for the awesome article, I stopped following OWL because Europe and I missed all these narratives, great read !
Good point, that's exactly how I feel when trying to kill Moira as Mcree with flashbang off cooldown. But yet again whenever I flashbang / fan the hammer somebody I feel bad for them. Recently playing zen with a competent doomfist in the other team is the same feeling : you're unexpectedly flung into the air with 50hp remaining and dead without any possible counterplay
On the other hand I feel like they're trying their best. Imo they properly fixed the hog balance issue they had and hog is in a good place right now, hooking is more difficult, still rewarding and less frustrating for the enemy player : if you got hooked it's your fault and if you got halt-hooked then the enemy team played the combo well.
Brigitte and Hanzo increased cooldown on their most frustrating abilities is a good step forward as well (shield bash on PTR, lunge on PTR, storm arrow last patch)
The #1 consultant in esports said there's an agreement but it's not signed yet. Paris Musketeers hype ! (not biased)
Fixed a bug that allowed Mercy to damage boost certain abilities (e.g. Hanzo’s Dragonstrike, D.Va’s Self-Destruct, and Junkrat’s Steel Trap)
Huge, but what's the difference between a hanzo dragonstrike and a reinhardt's firestrike ?
I thought tanks were a rare commodity and now kaiser is LFT, I don't understand this world
It's 2 OWL teams against 2 contenders teams against 2 trial teams, any upset in this group would be crazy
Happy to know Wat7 is still out there he's playing since beta right ?
I read some articles about chess trying to get into the olympics, they're struggling pretty hard and are established since many years ! At some point they were even considering making the board and pieces in ice to get into winter sports
Esports has less foundations and history but much more public, so we got this going for us, which is nice
Anyhow I don't think esports olympics 2020 :)
I guess that getting into the olympics is a good opportunity to get coverage and recognition, which means more sponsors, more prize pools, more juicy television contracts etc.
Seeing how chess is struggling to get in I don't think esports will be included in the olympics anytime soon, but they got to start somewhere
I missed the point where everybody turned from loving Jake to hating Jake, can somebody enlighten me ?
Was it the junkrat hate train ? The xQc "J LUL K E" ?
I remember when everybody was revering his communication skills, his looks, his instructive well written articles, his Pharah and Genji skills.
Did he get punished for playing the role his team needed ? I also seem to remember that his Tracer got a lot of flak when the statistics and his coaches' opinion showed it was actually pretty good
Not only old people, a lot of young people don't understand the hype for esport
Nonsense, it should be sorted by group stage
I think you should make one different thread for each team it would be easier to comment each team separately
(Kappa)
The final phase of OWWC is in LAN settings so you want to avoid any possible choke
I don't know if dridro played a single LAN, let alone a premier event, he's 15yo, so prone to stressing, Asking is a bit older (21yo I think) but kind of unproven as well in that regard
aKm and winz are both multiple LAN veteran, they've been playing at the top level for years, we know they won't choke, it probably influenced daemon's judgement
Edit : for the people downfragging, read how Zaprey choked in Atlantic Showdown in 2016 because of youth
Blizzard is trying to impose sms protect to limit smurfing in top500, they obviously condemn this behaviour
Often times people announce a news early in the forums and the "official" over.gg article arrives a few hours / days later.
I have no problem with that (fact checking, and Scruba probably has a life) but the issue is that for most news we have two discussions threads, sometimes they both have separates comments, sometimes the article comes too late and there's nothing much to add about it, sometimes we repeat things.
I went back two weeks in the forums to look for examples :
I don't have a specific solution but there could be an optional "link" feature, in which the article would link to the existing discussion thread and import its already ongoing discussion
I have no idea of what happens behind the scenes and from the few streams I watched he was as toxic as unkoe and flippy in ranked (the regular condescending french attitude). But ranked and team attitude is different (cf sinatraa toxic)
I went through the games he played with eagle (he didn't play much) and most recently he played winston, hog and diva in a quad tank composition. Not the most exciting and definitely the most mobaesque overwatch. Also Zarya was always picked by hqrdest so he didn't even get to play his favourite hero. I totally understand why he would blame the game
I just checked the vods, the comp was Flippy, NiCOgdh, KnOxXx, GetAmazed, PiPou, HyP for the whole four maps
He was twitting about fortnite for a long time now I saw it coming when he got dropped by eagle
To me it looks like he's not the type of player who wants to adapt, he liked playing Zarya and couldn't find the motivation to practice new heroes when she got nerfed. Nothing wrong with that but it's probably a problem he didn't have when playing tf2 or shootmania. I'm sure he's gonna find a new game with a thriving esport scene (please not fortnite) and I'll have pleasure watching him kick ass
While the feat is impressive I agree with robokun, what if the top SR from the countries that got eliminated by him played fair and were punished for it.
Next year we'll see every top SR smurf like crazy to avoid this to happen again, we shouldn't celebrate it
I don't live in the US, let alone in LA, but isn't their owl salary enough to deter them from boosting / account selling? Also with the owl stacked timetable they may not have enough spare time to grind some more for boosting. And the promiscuity with their teammates makes it more dangerous as well
But yeah contenders wouldn't surprise me
24 April 2016 gosugamer titles "Team EnVyUs acquires IDDQD - Talespin completes the roster"
A few month later he leaves the roster mid tournament because : "taimou... has good aim"
I wonder what Talespin did since November 2016, did he play overwatch? Ranked?
I don't think you need to "hit the sweet spot" to get blocked, they take on so much crap every day on social media they probably block everybody with negative tweets
Alright thanks for the info
Don't know why I got downvoted though, I typed "Overwatch nesh kobrin" in Google and over.gg was the only result stating "German", the 9 others used "Herman"
