Dallas gonna get burned.

I actually don't think it's entirely Dallas being bad, but other teams being much improved. Throughout stage 1, other teams were building a core roster and practicing their synergy and team play, while Dallas had their main tank suspended. He then comes back and they start practicing, then gets suspended and now kicked. They've essentially not had a stable main tank.
Add to that something weird going on with running aKm overrascal, which kyky clearly doesn't want to talk about, suggesting it's his superiors decision so he can't speak against it, it's forcing Dallas into weird comps they can't make work
I've said it a bunch it's state of mind. Starting with a big ego (and it's not just their ego it's the ego that everyone creates for them) and losing some games, it becomes harder and harder to keep a relaxed focused state of mind. Not to mention they started with a somewhat unique core and have had issues integrating new players. And this is where the team's ego can even play into the coaching and management staff. Not to mention they fielded xqc alot. I'm not hating on xqc but from a practical standpoint he needed the most time to really reach his peak in organized competitive play both with the team adapting to him and him adapting to the team.
Teams like Mayhem possesed a better long term outlook ironically due to the fact that people's opinions of them were low and they had a limited roster. They said fuck what everyone thinks from the beginning and invested alot of time with one core of players.
I think Dallas made the right choices in some regards. It was a bold move to invest in xqc from the start but one that likely would have paid off in the long term had he not gotten suspended twice. Now it's a completely different team than when they started the league. It's clear they have the talent but they need to commit to working on a core group. Players will do better on a team that commits to them win or lose vs a team that could drop them for another player at any moment. It's a scary notion that you have to pick a team and work with it because if you are wrong you don't know for sure until the end of the season at least. But we've seen the other teams improving while Dallas seems like they are just trying to start over every match.
Well number one, they don't have a good main tank since Cocco can't dive and Taimou is not patient enough to be a tank player and obviously should be dps. Their dives are scattered in comparison, and effect heavily carries flanking since Taimou is not on dps anymore. They've tried experimenting since 1st stage and the steam dream meme didn't go as well as planned. xQc was an ok tank when he didn't get mobbed but he got perma-targeted by the desk and OWL and it became the typical american show scapegoat scenario. They need to get better team cohesion again like the florida mayhem did since they all clearly have talent and skill, they just need to relax and learn to execute their strats effectively while trusting each other. The other teams also know at this point who to focus to tilt the team in a way. Fortunately there's plenty of dps power in the team still, just not sustain or protection/protection strategies like learning when to peel or when to mass focus out of place dives.
I'm sure they would have loved to keep xQc, but as Custa said, it's not good for team morale and practice never knowing if your main tank was going to be suspended or not, and I don't think xQc's mindset is yet in the right place for OWL. He's a fantastic player, and I could see him coming back to a team in a season or 2 after he's focused on his stream for a while
