Rogue has a 1-point upper bracket winner advantage.
I'm afraid given rogue's success it also doesn't speak well for the NA scene that there is so much parity among teams right now. They all seem to beat each other on any given hour without any clear favorite, and no one is consistently better than the rest. Hammers didn't even qualify for the tourney immortals won a week or two ago.
Having said that it's certainly good that there is consistent competition with the carbon series. It's clearly what the scene needs right now.
While I agree that the previous matches were quite one sided the final definitely was not. The important thing is Rogue's triple dps was looking unbeatable but was sort of figured out by Hammers. Who knows if they had figured they needed quad tank early and rogue didn't have the one match lead Hammers would have taken the other escort/hybrid matches.(Rogue looked really weak on Dorado) Quad tank run by a better team like Fnatic or even a full 6 Immortals might me able to counter soon and co.
Blizzard must be relieved that 4 tanks didn't quite work.
it's not like Hammers was running quad tank the entire tournament just to say OLD META LUL but to me at least, the multi-tank comp was more of a response to Rogue's triple DPS comp, and in some instances, it was working. But barely.
Still a crazy good grand finals though
Hammers couldve easily won Lijiang barring few throws and potentially hollywood if their tank comp would have worked as well as it did on Dorado(in the end at least). So all things considered pretty even match.
Rogue showed their prowess with their 3dps+monkey setup and it took way too long for the NA teams to adapt and make them actually work for these wins.
