Didn't know that they had no clue how to play/counter GOATs. It seemed like they played even worse when they tried to counter GOATs, instead of just playing GOATs right back (4Head). At least Space decided to show up. One of the seven players showing up is better than none of them, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also even if I'd thought you were serious... wouldn't it make sense because in writing there is no tone to show sarcasm when the person writing is actually dumb enough to be serious about what they are writing? Yeah the world cup viewer is awesome. Everything I wanted from an overwatch viewing experience. Would be nice if they allowed the camera smoothing to be toggled off and for commentary to be toggled on. But yeah its awesome. I hope they keep using it for owl.

Boombox was insane with those trascendence and Kruise popped off on Volskaya with the battle mercy. Muma and SPACE were amazing but the rest of USA were meh.

I agree. Not sure what his shatters were doing. Maybe he read that his team was losing the goats war and he needed to make a play but shattering into fusions shield multiple times when he could have saved it.

Also in general it seemed like usa gave the uk alot more opportunities to melt an isolated tank. UK for sure had discipline backing out and giving ground when they needed to and coming back in 6 strong at the right time.

And that time uks winston was zoning the usa widow. Winston had low hp and was completely seperated from his team and any mega healthpacks. And widow healthpacked up to full. Still usa let it be a 1v1 and he won it while the rest of uk also won the other fight. Clearly UK played very well.

Muma was outplayed by Fusions imo. He landed nearly all of his shatters on multiple targets and blocked Muma's shatters several times, particularly on Route 66.

I think they get a bit egocentric and usa built their ego being in the finals with south korea last year. It's easy to forget that you have to prove yourself in the games and each game is a new opportunity. Let your ego give you confidence and it may detract from your actual gameplay.

As much as it sucks to see the USA lose, credit goes to Great Britain, they brought it! Fusions absolutely outplayed Muma on maintank and zachareee, I felt, was a huge downgrade and a detriment to the team on both maps he played. Seemed like a big stage/LAN environment swallowed him up. You can tell the GB players were hungry and they got after it. I’m certain we’re gonna be seeing at least a few of them very soon in OWL.

I'm not one to identify as a region, I'm Canadian and feel no..."pride?"...in the NA thing. But if we're gonna go there NA vs EU is 2-1 because of Canada.

That doesn't mean anything but I guess the only thing that was overrated was team USA in this case.

The US got what they deserved. Between Hydration's dismissal of Brazil, Sinatraa's teabagging, and the general cockiness of the team, they set themselves up to fail. It only reinforces how stupid the gap between Contenders and OWL is in terms of support. There is almost no skill gap.

This. As much as I love the US they were way too cocky this year and I'm happy (and sad of course) that the UK taught them a lesson. Players like Fusions, Kyb, Mikey, need to be in OWL season 2.

This might turn out to be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the UK DPS got carried by the tanks/supports for the most part.

Don't get me wrong, they did clutch some fights and help set up big plays, but they weren't the main reason UK was so successful, imo.

So because of that I'm not ready to say that MikeyA or Kyb necessarily need/deserve to be in OWL. Fusion has absolutely convinced me and I think Smex could make a case for himself though not to the same degree.
