Dallas have looked better, and also played Seoul close before, but I feel this map pool favours the Dynasty more, and with the Mercy meta over, jehong is freed up to play more ana and zen.
The re-re-re-rematch PogChamp
Last time they played it was actually really close, although Whoru and Alarm are now in the US, so I do think they are the strong favourites here
I think they can if both teams agree and someone wants to, but most don't, either because streaming affects performance, or because they want to hide strats, or both
If I were Grim or Numlocked I'd be looking for a transfer if I wanted game time, they're never going to get any currently
Gibraltar is an escort map though...
Fuel can run a really strong quad tank now, Cocco Rein, Mickie (or aKm) DVa, Taimou Hog, Effect (or Seagull) Zarya, with Harry on Lucio and Chips or Custa on Moira
Happy for Mangachu, this is a big chance to prove himself as a top level dps player
Left TBD gonna win the entire tournament tbh
I mean, sure, when he's no longer one of the best free agents out there. He may not be quite #1 in the world, but he's definitely OWL or OWL academy worthy
This could be a close game, should be a good one. Going to go for EnVision 2-1, but wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way
sounds like a nightmare for my productivity
Renegades have more Koreans therefore they must win
tbh Mei has been out of the (proper) meta for a long time, as had junkrat. It's interesting how almost all the area denial heroes are called 'cancer' because they force you to adapt your play style (junkrat, mei, sym, torb). The issue I feel is not the heroes, but the fact that nobody in matchmaking plays as a team in order to work around them properly. There's a reason you don't see most of them in pro play (junkrat being the exception, but that's because he's now a bit op)
As well as some more OWL first team signings potentially
Culturally that would surprise me a little bit, from what I understand there's a certain level of pride to have a national team represented by Chinese players, but not actually being Chinese myself I couldn't say for sure
I'm interested in seeing dummy and Ajax playing again, from what I can tell this roster has qualified for contenders trials NA, so should be an interesting test for the strength of the NA scene
Future-proofing the team at least in case that does become meta again
I'm interested to see what team these guys pick up
Rascal and Fissure are all but confirmed, as of course is now the official confirmation of aKm to Fuel
Effect has the ability to play pretty much every dps hero, and probably off tanks as well, so if you wanted to run non-tracer comps, he's also a very good flex dps. The slight concern is they might be very readable dependent on which other dps they sub in with Effect, as that might dictate whether they're running hitscan, Genji or Pharah, but I think they scrim around that
What a world we live in when Fuel's (basically EnVyUs's) best map type is KOTH. How times have changed
Fear the Brenji, coming in the night to steal your SR
Moira seems like she's T1, she can do pretty much anything, chase down enemy flag carriers, heal up your own carrier and her orbs are great for softening up the defences of the other team
Well technically he didn't lose...
Yeah Lunar Colony is probably one of my least favourite maps to play as well
I think it's to make it fit nicely into a schedule, but yes, unfortunately it does mean some teams have an easier run than others, and this criticism has been raised before.
I don't even know who to pick for this one anymore
It's sad that that's true. Both of these teams at their best could be top 5, but they're just not consistent enough.
When people question why Mickie is in the team, just show them that clip
They'll just follow the route denial esports took. They were a pretty aptly named organisation tbh
I hope he has more energy than he did at the World Cup, he looked half asleep when interviewing people then
Those Guys should win this, but Titans looked really strong today so expecting a close one
It's hard to forsee either envision or no clout beating fusion tbh, that roster looks nutty in action
On paper they probably were but I think the meta change has shifted the power rankings. I like the double elimination format as well so this can actually happen and you see the best teams play each other in the finals
I find it ridiculous that a bug like that is still in the game, even if it is just the spectator cam. It's been known about since the start of overwatch esports, and you'd think with how big blizzard want OWL to be, they'd make sure the spectator cam was correct, especially for potentially game changing plays.
That pulse bomb legit fell off, and this is the LAN servers so it shouldn't have the desync that the servers we all play on sometimes have
There's no way that was an accident
My heart says Fuel but my brain says this will be almost as quick as the previous game
I guess technically they capped temporarily but they didn't win a point
EZ 4 TBD
Shanghai Dragons didn't cap a single point this whole series
Yes, without a doubt. Whether they'd make it to the finals or not is another matter though.
No, it's Blizzard's 'We're stalking you to ban you before you even get reported' system. I swear if you're even remotely in the public eye, you have to be 10x better than the average playerr. They need to relax a little on the double standards, or be super clear on what is and is not good behaviour/reportable.
Dammit Guinea, why'd you have to leak like that, I was waiting to make my big reveal to my 37 twitter followers. As long as I still get to play the attack sym on Ilios we're all good though
Rematch on this new patch will be interesting. I feel that Those Guys have a better Slambulance team, Fusions looked really good on Rein, and Kyb and Kragie on off-tanks. Piece of Cake are still a strong team though, so should be close
I really don't understand that decision. Jehong is arguable the best Overwatch player in the league, and admittedly his best hero is Ana, and he's wasted on Mercy, but why bench him? And furthermore, why not un-bench him when the plan with Gido clearly wasn't working (they didn't cap a point in the first 2 maps).
