This is a really hype game, could go either way
I'm trying to convince myself of a scenario in which the Dragons can get anything out of this, but I'm failing. Unless Dynasty want to try a 6 support comp or something. And even then they'd probably still win
Valiant should have this. Gladiators have some good individual players, but Valiant just outclass them in pretty much every way, and have great team coordination to go with it
Shock have looked decent, but not the same level as Spitfire. They could take a map here, so 3-1 Spitfire is my prediction.
From what I've seen Angry Titans should have this in the bag
Yeah, they fixed whatever issues they were having on Junkertown. He absolutely went off towards the end there
I'm super hyped to see Mosaic play, some top tier talent there definitely worthy of Contenders. Also wouldn't be surprised to see some of them picked up for OWL academy teams in the future
For sure it's a good game, ONIGOD is a very good player, it just seems crems is getting a little too disconnected from his supports.
I'm a little disappointed with crems DVa play, might be a sign of team co-ordination, but he's taking way too much damage and getting de-meched too easily. Almost all his self destructs had to be used to get a new mech
Those Guys looked pretty strong yesterday, they should have this, unless we see something new from Eagle Gaming
Those Guys look like a sold mid-tier team really FeelsHafficoolMan
Both teams are stacked, I'm gonna give the edge to Eagle cos they have some more experienced players with the Rogue guys, but could be anyone's game
I'm hyped, was a great tournament last year, happy to see it return. Really looking forward to seeing some of these players again.
4-0 Spitfire based on the Fuel's current form. Normally I'd have predicted a close game, but I just don't think we'll get one here
Easy 4-0 Seoul if they play their best roster.
Still 4-0 Seoul if they play their worst roster.
Shaz vs Boombox. This could get interesting.
I still support them, but I don't understand their thinking. They have one of the best roadhogs in Taimou, sub him out for Mickie, then have Mickie run Roadhog. There must be stuff behind the scenes cos that just doesn't make logical sense
Is Taimou ill? Why is he not playing
I've missed this meme
I'd hope so. He's one of the best genjis in the world. By design, a genji always looks flashy when they're doing well, but to look as stylish as he does against some of the top players in the world is just imprressive
Let's go Boombox. Philly 3-1
This could be close, but Dallas has the potential for insanely hard carry performances from Effect (and Taimou on a good day). I think they'll edge it 3-1, but could go either way
m8 dunno what you talking about, 1v1 me noob
He's now going for the next record of being the most killed in OWL history
Fixed a bug that allowed Reaper to Shadow Step to unintended locations on Horizon Lunar Colony
Good to see an old friend come back
I can understand people being a little upset, as this was the first meta Lucio wasn't in, and for some that was a breath of fresh air. But I just feel the game plays better with a Lucio, and it's more fun to watch without heroes being ressed all over the place, and fights lasting forever
Better to hold off and get a better deal in a couple of months, than to potentially be stuck in a bad contract for a year or more.
So many possibilities missed. Could have 'diving in', 'fished up new talent', etc
Ahh cool, I've lost track of who had what spots!

Does anyone know if it's been said whether this is eUnited's contenders spot that they've passed on to Kruise, or will this team have to qualify through the Open Division and Trials, etc?
I feel Mykl will suit the flex role better, interested to see how this team does
As far as I know, they have a few weeks to confirm if they are accepting their place, which gives them a bit of time to think about if they want to field a roster. Hopefully with the announcement of prizepools and information about OWL buyouts, teams will have a bit of confidence in picking up some players
I actually agree, if OWL franchises aren't allowed to use their orgs name in lower divisions, that's kinda silly. If you want to bring people into Overwatch from other esports like CS, people look for names they know, and some of the biggest names will now be missing from OW (C9, EnVyUs, Immortals, etc)
I will have no problems at all watching Kephrii get absolutely destroyed by pro teams. It might bring his ego into check a little
I'm going to assume that's because his contract says something about ensuring the behavior of the team. And as stated, he doesn't lose his pay, just his bonus.
Only if he logs into the other players account. I'm pretty sure the PCs aren't account locked, that wouldn't make much sense.
It also depends on the meta, and the map. I don't think OWL teams will have a starting roster and subs, I think it will be they have the players for particular maps at the time.
For example, Kings Row is a traditional Rein map, so you probably want Cocco, whereas Gibraltar is an amazing Winston map, so you probably want xQc
After the Orisa comp on Oasis the other day, I wouldn't have called you mad if you knew in advance and still predicted a 4-0 tbh
This. I wish the spec cam in game did the same. It's so weird when players on both teams are playing the same hero, but their character portrait in the overlay might be in completely different places.
I know players do swap roles mid-game, but it would be nice if the spec cam was dynamic and would swap. I think it would help new viewers, who maybe don't know each hero by name, or don't know who's playing what, to be able to compare what the teams are.
Boston looking decent so far, but this is also probably the weakest of the Korean teams in the League. Time will tell how they compare to everyone else
In Contenders they subbed Mickie out for several maps, and I expect they will in the main season as well. These are just show matches.
It's also hard to assess how subbing players in and out affects the mentality of the whole team, not just the subbed player. Mickie is such a positive person, it might be useful to have him keep up morale, over someone like xQc who's very intense 100% of the time.
It's probably because Mickie/Taimou have had a lot longer to build up synergy together, which is hugely important for tank duos
Eh, at the end of the day these are showmatches for fun, not the actual event. If they start at full hype, then there'll be no build up towards the actual event, and then the grand finals.
Didn't even need xQc for that z9
Chips is struggling on Mercy, at this point it's more than just he's being focused. I'm a little surprised they didn't try Custa on the Mercy more
C'mon now, he's the 2nd best, not the best. He's a humble guy after all.
I'm so confused by how that Dallas comp worked, but it was damn cool to watch
No Harry, no carry FeelsBadMan
Will be on the overwatch league website in a few hours time probably
