Looking forward to another year in the @overwatchleague - I'll try my best to make y'all proud as I'm taking on some new responsibilities for the upcoming season. Thank you for your continued support! 🥰#IcantsingbutIdontcare pic.twitter.com/poeawft55D
Soembie has been with the Overwatch League broadcast team in different roles since the inaugural season. She was an interviewer during the 2018 season and an analyst in the 2019 season. The desk hosts for the past two seasons have been mainly Puckett, Goldenboy and Malik. None of them are on the talent team in the 2020 season.
Soembie does not enter the 2020 season new to hosting. She was a host in the 2018 and 2019 Overwatch World Cups. She was also a desk host in the 2016 Atlantic Showdown and a panel host at Dreamhack Winter 2016.
Her move coincides with numerous shakeups to the Overwatch League talent lineup to the 2020 season. Five members of the broadcast team, including three casters, have left the Overwatch League. The league has added three new casters, one analyst and moved two analysts to casting positions in the offseason thus far.
The Overwatch League season begins February 8 in New York City.
