Seriously bullshit of blizz to ban the person who puts by far the most time and effort into this game.

What in the world did he even get suspended for?

I would guess for insta-reporting a Sym-Torb only player. Haven't watched all of his stream recently but doubt it was for toxicity or throwing

This would fall under false reporting. One tricking isn't a reportable/bannable offense, has nothing to do with all the time/effort he puts into the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be all for trying to mitigate one tricks in this game, but they've said this isn't how it's going to be done and that the report system isn't to be used in this way unfortunately.

but one-tricking is pretty much the definition of the "Poor Teamwork" report option, that doesnt make sense

Have you not gotten the memo? Poor teamwork is reportable, but only if the player is not a onetrick. If the player is a onetrick anything except for active suicide is acceptable behavior, and reporting them results in a 2-day ban.

Pretty much the best way to do it. No one wants to carry deadweight on their team. Everyone knows that a sym/torb is dead weight. Someone has to pickup the slack. 5 people have to suffer because a scum bag wants to build his turret while being shot at.

Bottom line is blizzard is retarded as usual. They don't like simple solutions, they like to reinvent the wheel only to find out they did it worse. Remember no hero limit in comp? How great that idea was, meanwhile you'd watch live tournaments with 12 tracers contesting for 10 min months before comp was released.

No, it's Blizzard's 'We're stalking you to ban you before you even get reported' system. I swear if you're even remotely in the public eye, you have to be 10x better than the average playerr. They need to relax a little on the double standards, or be super clear on what is and is not good behaviour/reportable.

Especially hilarious given Jeff Kaplan's reply to him just 3 days ago

"But I do want you to know that we care and that we are very engaged in brainstorming solutions."

Yep a ban for the guy who reported the onetrick

"There is a spirit, freedom and creativity to the game that we are eager to protect"

What about the competitiveness....In the competitive lobby.

How does a person who can only play symmetra reach the 1% of ow players in NA, that's millions of players? This person is playing in lobbys with OWL pro players! The pinnicale of competitive Overwatch!

Either they should be picked up by an OWL team or the competitive ladder is broken.

Saw a thread on reddit about this. Have an option to not play with somebody. But you can only do this on your own team. Slowly but surely, one tricks and toxic players will become isolated. And ending the problem

But seriously Blizzard, please make the report system actually functional.
Your game has been out for nearly two years and the fact it still isn’t fixed is baffling
Don’t become like Valve
Please

There used to be a "avoid this player" feature, but people abused it to evade players that were better than them, people like surefour and many others had terrible long queue's, so I don't think they're bringing that back.

That might be one of the reasons we'll never see something like that implemented thou.

The game is popular but not SO popular to have at all ranks enough ppl to guarantee "fast" queues.

For us scrubs (I'm silver/gold) ain't too difficult to find a match, and removing some players form the pool wouldn't impact the queue time, but I fear at GM would simply lead to more complaints for even longer (I've seen 20-25mins long queues) queues.

If there's something that kills an online competitive game is having to wait a life to get a match.
