Thoughts on Fortnite?

I know its been like 5 months since I’ve posted but in that time I played a lot of Fortnite, then my pc got messed up and Fortnite is the only game I have that has low enough graphics quality to run at 60 FPS on at this point. I want to here your guys’ opinions on it

Good game but the most recent patches to it have made me shy away from it, mainly the changes to weapon switch speeds

Also if Epic is adding new content to the game every single week they're eventually going to run out of (good) stuff to put in the game

super well made. the devs react really quickly to the community and the masses' opinion on balance. haven't seen many developers like this. it's constantly changing and improving. notably i think the building adds a really unique kind of mechanical skill

Shooting people with shotguns feels good in fortnite. I'm not a huge fan of the building, but I guess it's what allows shotguns to be useful, so I'll take it.

Bad

In my opinion it is boring to watch, and looks like a game which is 10 years old. Not really attracted by it, but I have to say that I don't like Battle Royale games in general so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

idk, pretty boring for my taste. It doesn't seem like there is much to develop. Like the strats are ez enough to pick up and then it's just learning to build and aiming and then what? Compared to other amazing games, you can spend hundreds of hours developing skills and still suck or spending hundreds of hours and still not have completed everything like Skyrim or something like that. Just doesn't have that longevity to me.

I am not a big fan of the BR genre but the game is decently made and pretty fun to play in groups.

BR is the new big genre and its not going anywhere, and until someone makes a better game FortNite is here to stay.

I mean its nice to have free well programmed games out there. Take note that if a game runs like shit its usually because of REALLY BAD PROGRAMMING THESE DAYS. Fortnight shows us what performance we should be able to get. Overwatch is so well programmed they had a major problem when it overheated so many laptops. Becuse other games just couldnt manage to use the same ammount of cpu and gpu simultaneously. Then you look at unity engine that hasnt been able to do proper fullscreen, gsync, or freesync for ages and is basicly a joke in many other ways. Battlefield 4 had an extra 100ms of lag coded into it for years after launch. I dont have enough interest in fortnight but at least they made the game right.

I think that Fortnite is a really nice game. Personally, I love battle royale that's why I like this. This is my favorite go-to game whenever I am not busy. I mean, If you really look into it there's alot going on the cartoon-ish graphics may deceive you but there's alot of technicality in this game..
