BOLD PREDICTIONS
South Korea 4-0 Canada
EDIT: Nope. 4-1 oh well
penda [#2]USA 3-2 UK
JUST LIKE IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
I don't think France is backing us this time...
JBZ_tv [#7]Lol, a team that shouldn’t even have qualified (Russia > Canada), that isn’t even top 6, is in the final, due to luck with brackets, Sweden chokes AGAIN, at least there’ll be a good third place match then, because Canada, just like Russia last year, will get completely tortured by South Korea.
Yeah shouldn't have even qualified of course. Beating your competition means you don't deserve to qualify.
Seems like salty tears to me.

How can you not be top 6 if you beat 2 teams out of 8.
I agree the final should be pretty much underwhelming though. :(
Hope they prove me wrong.

Sweden, Finland, US, SK, China, France >> Canada
Pixelfish [#17]Canada 3-2 Korea. Watch.
Seeing how France destroys Sweden, it seems highly unlikely bro

Canada matches up better against SK than France did

You felt so strongly about this, you had to post it in two different places?

Wait, 1-1 is France destroying Sweden?
JBZ_tv [#11]Sweden, Finland, US, SK, China, France >> Canada
You forgot India, Egypt, Switzerland and Mexico.
scent [#19]!tmobilemvp fl0w3r
fl0w3r is god but me personally vote for Saebyeolbe, guy with stable bomb sticks and insane clutches when it really matter
I'm proud of the boys regardless of what happens. They went further than anyone thought they could, including myself.
That being said I do think this will be a sweep, SK will have honed in on our weakness at the flex tank position and Fl0w3r's Pharah can easily take it to Mangachu, S4 or Agilities so it will be hard fought match for Canada as they try and win some maps.
I'm still hoping that we can come out and surprise the world even more and take some maps! Let's go boyz.
Prediction: SK wins 4-0
Biased feels as a Canadian: SK wins 4-2

Honestly believe it won't be so onesided, your "biased feels" might be more accurate, at least I hope. :)
PotatoKing [#23]You felt so strongly about this, you had to post it in two different places?
It’s funny that you don’t get it, even though it’s so obvious.
bweesh [#21]Canada matches up better against SK than France did
I'd have to disagree, both Canada and France lack a dedicated Flex Tank, with Nico and Mangachu having to take up the role. The difference is that France had been playing as a team for a long time so they were somewhat able to make up for it until the meta changed.
I think the squad that had the best chance to beat them was Team USA, mostly because of the larger amount of effective comps they could run, imho.
Which ever way you look at it, winning maps is going to be extremely difficult for Canada, but I hope they do regardless.
ManuxBaka [#12]Sadly KR will destroy CAN simply because they will be warm since their game against FR
France has nothing to do with the reason KR will probably win this, imo.

Not sure if troll or...
thaaad [#47]I'm predicting 4-0 sadly.
Nah all according to plans, Canada only wants comebacks!
Well one can always hope :)
As long as Joemeister stays on Mercy duty, Canada has no chance. Also, SK has pretty much adapted to the mercy meta after facing USA and FRA. When Jake said the best time to beat SK was in the QF, he was right because nobody knows what kind of effect the meta would have, and SK was forced to play a bit different to their usual game. Now that they're used to it, gg Canada

Problem is that they need the Zen orbs and in most cases you don't want to be going in w/o your own Zen against Jehong.
I don't know how good Joemeister's Zen is, but I'm guessing that he or Roolf are more comfortable on the current hero config than they would be otherwise.
I don't know if that's actually the case but if you compare that to Adam who is both a great Lucio and a God Tier Mercy you can see that they seem relatively screwed both ways.
Canada should not feel bad about this. A 4-1 loss to the best team in the world AFTER they had more Mercy meta practice is nothing to be sad about. Canada played well. They almost took map one, and it was close every map. This was a fantastic world cup. This was amazing. And this can prove Overwatch is indeed Esports ready. Very hopefull for the future
FaceShrine [#67]gg to South Korea. Still kinda sad USA, France and South Korea ended up in the same bracket.
True, it could have been anyone's game.I think Canada still had the power to get to grand finals though, against any team. (except SK of course)

No disrespect to Joemeister also, but Tobi got better as SK's Mercy but Joe just kept dying first and wasting Valkyries. Canada could really have taken a map or even 2 more if Joe stayed alive longer

UK was the lucky team on easy group (Luck is part of life, sports and Esports), so don't say anything about Canada, and they managed to do the same that USA and France did, they took a map from South Korea.

agree with this, also big props to tobi because his mercy has improved so much since LHai got rolled by Busan

SK had more practice on the Mercy meta? By like a week?
ProfessorPoopypants [#77]SK had more practice on the Mercy meta? By like a week?
The difference between SK's mercy play vs USA vs their Mercy play against Canada is nuts. Tobi improved so much
