That was a fast 1st map ... :O
PS: I should correct myself - the TWO first maps were fast ...

You mean 3 LUL
Admirable [#11]Frustrating watching NiP refuse to adapt on three separate maps
This is where you need a coach to slap you in the face.
I couldn't agree more. Fnatic deserve this win so much.
What I didn't really understand from the stream is how NiP didn't manage to take point A on Volskaya. What exactly happened? Yes, D.va was around, but that looked like a solvable problem.

They had Soldier top left and McCree top right, couldn't protect Zuppehw
LangleyAsuka [#18]NIP unwillingness to change its comp blows my mind. Maybe that's the consequence of not having real competition and always getting away executing the same composition. Zappis's soldier also seems pretty lackluster compared to other soldiers and his other heroes in his pool.
Why would they change it? Their composition is strong, solid, pays to their strengths. It's an FPS - you need to surprise when you can't outplay. And they definitely have the skills to outplay - they constantly show it online. I think their problem is psychological. They underperform on stage. Guess that's what they need to work with. When you lose two series in 3 months you don't look at your gameplay you look at the circumstances first.

when you lose you definitely look at your gameplay. they would have to change their compisition here because they lost and if the comp isn't working - you have to adapt and change it otherwise you're just running into a brick wall.

3-2 isn't a brick wall. And it wasn't some kind of a reverse sweep, where one team "figures" the other. You are putting too much stock into "meta analysis". This is not Starcraft where a battle between units is decided by the numbers in the spreadsheet. It is a game of execution. Misfits won this tournament with a Widowmaker, although it almost always felt countered from the start - especially considering D.va's buff. Roadhog's hook kills no matter the patch.
