Is it coming from the higher ranks? At low ranks I see a genji main and laugh because 95% of the time they are terrible and so easy to take out.

Yep because OWL must be the reason Winghaven retired. It could not possibly be the fact that he has not been on a relevant team since 2016 and hasn't even been on an actual team since early this year (besides the world cup squad).

The OWL hate posts are not necessary on every topic, pay the player respects and wish them luck and move on trolls.
