OVER.GG IS MORE THAN JUST A WEBSITE
I...i won?
"MOM! MOOOMM! You won't believe what I just won! So it's called over.gg, and there's this guy named remiska..."
jeff should hire this guy PogChamp
Scrubasaurus thinking KuroiRyuu's flag is Russia when its Haitian
DansGame
KuroiRyuu and Remiska running over.gg TOGETHER would not be the best idea.
I think it should be me and Robokun instead kappa
Nah. Dafrans just gonna keep being Dafran
3rd world war LUL
He's a guy who I always have huge debates with about pessimism and optimism about the OWL in general. He's my arch nemesis.
I hope you know that entire post of mine was sarcastic. I realize it's a discussion, and I'm all for discussions, doesn't mean I can support a side though.
And the second statement I made about you being Robokun's relative is true, right?
What a guy. Here's to hoping he at least makes an appearance on next years Denmarks team, just for kicks.
Robokun with his first good comment. Couldn't be relevant without you ma dude, thanks
Thanks poi I love ur Italian team posts
To touch on this discussion however;
I don't think a lot of the Overwatch community are really understanding what the league is, and what the league means for Overwatch and eSports in general. It's not a tournament that just happens, but a full ecosystem and franchise that Blizzard is trying to build, and push eSports into the mainstream. The prize pool being this high in the first year only shows the confidence that Blizzard and Activision have in the league. You really think they would go for something with this big of a scope without preparing for everything? Advertising, salaries, player unions, team contracts, LAN locations, in game items, viewership numbers, etc. The list goes on and on for what OWL needs to cover in order to be successful; and in fact, Blizzard have addressed all of this.
Remiska, you talk about how the WC hasn't gotten so many viewers, but its because it's simply not on the same scale of the OWL. This years World Cup is kind of Blizzard's preview to get people excited about Overwatch eSports by instilling a sense of national pride in different countries that are competing. The USA and Poland stages will unquestionably get more viewers (due to better time zones), and I agree with KuroiRyuu that Blizzcon could break 1 million.
Honestly, everything is on the right track. I think we all need to take a step back, breathe, and just let it happen.
I have come to two conclusions.
One, KuroiRyuu is absolutely stellar at debating AND winning debates.
Two, Remiska is most definitely a brother, accomplice, or clone of Robokun.
Happy about the Zarya buff.
On this exact day of last year (my birthday), I bought Overwatch for my PS4 and became incredibly enveloped in the game. A few months later, I realized the true the scene was on PC, so, I moved to my PC and have been avidly playing ever since. I discovered the pro scene right around when the Overwatch Open grand finals were happening, and I've been so attached it since that match.
I've seen a lot of pessimism and hate towards the game and the competitive scene for a while now, and while I agree that there are a lot of problems that we need to work out, I want to point out how amazing and special of a game Overwatch is.
Our eSports scene has grown so, so much, in just a short amount of months, and while it is slightly stale right now, I have a feeling that the World Cup and the OWL is going to bolster the scene and shove it into the spotlight.
Enough of all the complaints; we've got a great game with a great community. We're very tight-knit here on over.gg
Proud to be an Overwatch player and member, and I'm excited for the future.
I think it's fine he keeps shuffling. I feel like he will probably be in OWL (since he stated that cost wasn't a problem, finding the right location was what they were figuring out), so I think it's good to take time to develop the perfect roster.
LH will win, they always bring it when they need to
We will cry TEARS of pride
Or should I wait till everyone changes their flags, then I become the guy with the rare USA flag?
EVEN SCRUBASAURUS? WHY IS EVERYONE CHANGING THEIR FLAGS
should I change mine to fit in? pls help
KuroiRyuu also changed his flag PogChamp
Penda new flag?
Remiska should be new owner of over.gg
I know I know KuroiRyuu, I'm just playin
ROBOKUN MY MAN WHERE ARE YOU
Woo Netherlands back at it again
poi98 with that exclusive Italian Overwatch info PogChamp
Goooooooo runaway
And he was just starting to look good on the team. Wonder if they'll use Claris as a substitute or find a new player and continue building their roster.
10 years later, Laser Kittenz will be the only team in Overwatch with a 75,000 player roster competing against themself. Alicus becomes richest man in the world.
I actually think TL will stay in Overwatch, they've invested a lot in the team recently, and with the recent partial investment from Disney, I find it more and more likely that TL will get an OWL spot. However, they'll definitely rebuild their roster around MESR, Fury, and Shadder.
BGH toxic. Go USA and Taiwan
I thought the eichenwalde play was a great team play. I've always found Zunba to be extremely overrated, and I think there are many Zarya players more talented than him (Hoon, Rascal, SPREE, and more)
Lol why u being mean to TwoEasy he's done nothing wrong.
That's also a lot of 9s.
You also make it sound like OWL is a one-time tournament- we've been around for literally a year, you really don't think that rosters will eventually mesh in the future and become established? Just like the beginning of every other team in every sport ever?
Also, EnVyUs, Rogue, and lunatic hai haven't yet been confirmed to be in OWL yet, so that's just another small "fact" of yours that is wrong. Immortals and Misfits (along with NRG 2-man) are the current established rosters, and I'll imagine they'll split the ratio of already existing rosters and new rosters down the middle.
Pleasure as always.
MVP infinity will win season 4 with just a 3 man roster. You heard it here first
PogChamp
I'd like to see a Robokun/SoftWhisper team up as well.
Yes! My arch nemesis Robokun has returned. I now summon my ally KuroiRyuu.
In all seriousness though, the whole bingo thing is kind of stupid. Did you really expect Tempo Storm to live on much longer after their contenders performance? This is kind of a resurgence period for Overwatch where a massive pool of free agents are available, and, OWL owners will make new teams out of them. It's kind of like one era is ending, and a new one is beginning, and I think it's good for the scene. Sounds like fun to me! It'll be great to see new rosters with old faces and new faces.
Until next time, Robokun. You're the yin to my yang, the Joker to my Batman, the Mendo to my ZP.
Where is robokun? Waiting for another comment on how Overwatch is officially dead because a tier-3 (maybe tier-2) team dropped their roster
Let's get some Koreans in here, maybe an Avian, and we'll be alllll good
YES AUSTRALIA OI OI OI
