Shadowburn bronze genii
Canada 3-0 or at MOST 3-1. Ez for Mangagod
Very good read, and a nice insight into the mind of a player who isn't on a well-established tier 1 team. I believe in multiple years that the OWL could transform into the dream that you originally had for it, but, for now, Wishing you the best of luck on your future endeavors!
I think this whole thread is underestimating Canada. I personally think Agilities is on the same level as SDB, S4 by far outclasses Mistakes, and xQc is a much more consistent Winston. Plus they have a much stronger support duo (Rubikon is definitely a weak point for Russia) and Mangachu's flexibility plus his Pharah makes him much more valuable than Txao.
This is how Remiska gets his stars
I have to give the edge to Canada here. Not because they're necessarily the better team, no, not at all. It's just because Russia is slow, but Canada is agilities.
Reading this when I have a 200-word paper to write, smh
Rated R for extreme violence.
Don't think they will return to season 3 form.
Y'all talking about how good u aren't tf2 when u both know Clockwork is better and more handsome
Tanks playing supports NotLikeThis
Edit: Didn't even see the comment above me. I feel foolish now.
harsha's turkey pun better than Mert's for the article itself
Blue, you have betrayed our country. We're one of the few USA flags left!
South Korea is definitely the worst team going into Katowice. What makes anyone think that South Korea is even good at overwatch? You people confuse me. Turkey is easily the top seed in Katowice, and I expect 2ez to absolutely wreck Flow3r with his platinum junkrat
This is really well written- I didn't know all the in-depths of their story so it was a great read.
Do you think you'll do pieces like this on other teams as well?
I find it unlikely that C9 will remain in overwatch, they simply haven't found success. Unless somehow they're able to get a spot in OWL, I'd much rather see Surefour and Adam end up on good teams, because they are extremely talented and well deserving players.
Group A and D are pretty scary.
Also, KONGDOO CIVIL WAR
PogChamp
Edit: Didn't realize Kaiser was going back to RunAway. That makes group A even scarier. And what happens to C9 now?? I say it's better to drop their roster and have Surefour and Adam on the market.
Imagine South Korea not making it to Blizzcon, and these two teams making it instead. It'd be freaking awesome, and a massive upset. Good luck to Russia, but I have to go for Canada :P
Didn't see this coming. Congrats to the Finns!
Don't even assume anything off that bullshit showmatch- Mangachu is an absolutely stellar flex player, and his Dva and Zarya definitely outclasses Txao's.
Its over Anakin. I have the high ground.
Remiska being positive PogChamp
I'm pumped as hell. I play soccer irl so that gives me an immediate advantage Kappa
Competitive overwatch community talking about cosmetics WutFace
YOU SEE THIS?! IT'S ALL HOMEMADE!!!!
Team Spain may not have qualified for Blizzcon, but they'll sure as hell win the Lucioball World Cup League APEX Vegas.
WHY ARE ALL 75,000 PLAYERS NOT SIGNED YET
Ever since I got my third of a star, the fame has just piled on, it's almost overwhelming.
I don't think the skillgap is that massive between USA and Sweden however.
I usually agree with you Penda, but I'm going to have to go completely against you here. I see it being a 2-2, or maybe even a 3-1 in USA's favor. Just because they are an established team doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win. They're playing very far away from home, there's a lot of pressure on them to perform up to expectations that the OW community has suddenly dropped on Flash wolves.
Everyone thought Australia would take their group easily because they were a top performing, full roster, but Sweden came in and dispelled that notion. It's entirely possible that USA's roster clicks so well (which I think it will), and it's star quality will be enough to beat Taiwan.
All this said though, I'd rather USA lose to Taiwan, take 2nd in the group, defeat most likely U.K. in the playoffs, and NOT have to face SK in the quarterfinals two years in a row. Because that would suck
I've seen a lot of comments on Reddit and here talking about how Team USA is "guaranteed to get absolutely demolished" and "they have no chance of getting out of groups."
I don't really understand this. Does everyone have a preconceived notion that just because they're "NA", team USA (and team Canada as well) are automatically going to perform poorly? Both nations have really, really strong rosters, so I don't know why everyone is counting them out immediately. Last year, USA was the only team that came closest (maybe along with Sweden) to taking a map off Korea, and they had ster playing. This year we have the DPS duo of Jake and Sinatraa, the tank and support duo from faze clan, a fantastic Dva in Coolmatt, and one of the best Lucio/shotcallers in the world. I say we look pretty stacked.
Members of the ow community from other countries have an incredible amount of national pride and will root for their countries no matter what roster they put out. But for anything that comes out of the US, it's met with immediate pessimism. Have some faith people, root for USA! Don't count em out just yet
Don't know enough about BigG00se to make any assumptions.
What I can say is that I think Davin is a stellar permanent choice. I think him and LinkZr have the potential to be a very scary DPS duo.
I beat Admirable to it, you're fired
I HAVE A BIT OF A STAR!!! I DID IT WORLD
Hammers dropped their roster. I had a feeling this might happen, since it seemed unlikely that Hollywood would have a spot in the OWL, plus the team was not performing well post-Takeover.

Pls everyone don't panic that OW is dead
Hope for the best for them, I've always thought wat7 was a very talented tank player.
I'd say it would be Team expert, but what I do know
Netherlands has been showing consistent improvement, I've been watching a lot of their scrims. I could see them potentially taking a map off of SK, and giving Russia or Canada some trouble. It won't be 2 ez tho
Excited to see where Gamsu and Twilight will go. Because of their pre-existing chemistry, I wouldn't be surprised if they both end up on NRG.
Brought this post to a 3rd page. Respect and bow down to me.
Umm.ummm....tries to think of Overwatch meme
