Completed scores could also just be hidden under a drop down and expanded if one chooses to.

This was a good game, very fun to watch. WhoRU has so much space in this meta, really good to see him fly around as Genji. I hope they can keep the ball rolling!

Welp, it's not a proper OW tournament until a team does a classic C9 while chasing kills. LH knew it and were thinking ahead.

posted about 7 years ago

You wouldn't say that to me at lan...lots of fresh shit.

posted about 7 years ago

It looks like they have more flexibility with Arhan or Recry probably not having to Tracer anymore. Will be interesting to see what comps they decide to run with this refreshed squad.

"they did not know whether or not he'd have to face some kind of suspension"

That's utter bullshit on their part. I get them thinking he might be worth the trouble, and that's fine, sometimes superstars actually are worth it, but saying they didn't know if he'd face punishment for activities considered illegal in his country of origin is fucking ridiculous.

A little bit more insight into the KR community's thought about SADO:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/7gv6hs/some_kr_proscoach_reactions_on_the_day_of_sado/

Most of them are really upset by this, it's a much bigger problem for the Koreans than it is for the Western folk, evidently.

Team CC really surprised me. They were mostly abysmal during the OWPS but they're almost guaranteed to make it out of this group after beating X6!

posted about 7 years ago

This match is purely to determine who gets out of this group in 1st/2nd place but it could be the most exciting one out of groups A & B!

RUNAWAY FIGHTING!

Hell yeah! Our man is moving up in the world!

Experiment they did, in the end it worked out and it was pretty entertaining to watch too!

posted about 7 years ago

Eileen had to put on his super carry pants, puzzled as to why he's not in OWL alongside Undead...Not to mention how bad the RunAway team play is right now.

posted about 7 years ago

Welp, Runaway absolutely dominated on the first map. Stitch pretty much shit all over Shy and Eileen. was an impressive sight to see but you can really feel the whole Undead left in this squad.

Too a 2nd look at the OWL announcement and i'm not sure how I feel about this one. I initially thought the punishment was OK ish if not a bit weak but the more I think about it and the more insignificant it gets.

More than anything I'm not sure what the appropriate punishment for this offense should be considering the cultural differences between NA/EU and KR.

Have a read and see, I'm pretty neutral on this since boosting isn't as much of an issue in the west as it is in Korea, but I can understand why the KR fans are losing their shit.

Just the fact that you labeled your thread as a rumour on top of being 150% transparent about it brings a tear to my eye. For real though, props.

That being said, I think you can arguably Txao in place of Unfixed, and possibly Adam in place of Forsak3n but that would be less of a positional upgrade since Taxo can also play Tracer if they ever feel the need to triple DPS for some reason.

In any case I hope there's a way of beefing up the scene since Contenders is so far away. Really disappointed that Blizz would think players and Orgs can sit around for that long on top of what they've already had to go through.

posted about 7 years ago

It's a given though, the teams are playing in LA, they're not trying to cater to any other region other than NA right now. And let's be real here, the vast majority of viewership would come from NA without even thinking about the actual venue.

Hopefully OWL does well and you get more matches at times more appropriate for you in the coming years.

posted about 7 years ago

This should be interesting. Hopefully the Chinese teams can compete like MY did at the Seoul Cup.

posted about 7 years ago

Interesting, this does give them a lot of flexibility since they now have a strong Tracer, a strong Projectile and a strong Hitscan to run different comps.

You're on your way young padawan.

Sounds like that's what gets voted on to determine winners from what I can somewhat understand.

KDP is a rebuild, LGD lost some of their players and haven't been at the top for a while so I don't think their groups is as obvious. Could be some surprises but just based on known factor Group D looks much stronger.

Edit: Letters are hard, A -> D

posted about 7 years ago

Just want to highlight this:

Group D: Lunatic Hai, Element Mystic, MT1, MY

Like wtf is up with Lunatic Hai and groups of death?

posted about 7 years ago

Right but I'm not sure why it should stop them from making a proper article about it.

Once again our God King TISrobin311 has graced us with some more information about the Korean scene. The nexus cup will have 16 teams this time around, 8 KR and 8 CN.

His comment:

<Round of 16>

Group A: Runaway, Kongdoo Panthera, LGD, LGE

Group B: X6 Gaming, Team Seven, Team CC, LYB

Group C: RX Foxes, Meta Athena, VG, LF

Group D: Lunatic Hai, Element Mystic, MT1, MY

The Top 2 from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals.

Looks like a relatively solid team. Looking forward to seeing how they measure up to the up and and comers like LH, Seven and EM. This next season of APEX might be the most unpredictable one yet!

posted about 7 years ago

Thanks for the heads up, added his edit in the OP, much appreciated.

posted about 7 years ago

I doubt an OWL team would be allowed to participate in any other tournament other than ones organised by other OWL team or themselves.

It's a self contained league.

posted about 7 years ago

That's very possible, I haven't seen anything about it yet. I'm also hoping that Ardeont get a chance to participate if they're interested. The OPC is easy money for them but the level of competition just isn't there.

posted about 7 years ago

Interesting, I think the roster could do well though I wonder what they'll do with the extra player since APEX only allows 8 man rosters IIRC.

posted about 7 years ago

They just added Lucid to the roster and Runner has officially taken himself off it, in a coaching position.

Reddit thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/7ezcyc/runaway_adds_lucid_to_their_team/

Not quite sure what this means for Kox since TISrobin311, our lord and savior, added that no other playing are leaving the roster but I think it's a solid pickup and could allow them some more flexibility. Runner also added that a 2nd rebuild is coming in ~January.

Really hoping they can built the team they need to push through. They're by far my favorite OW team with everything Runner and Flowervin have put into this team/family.

Edit from God King TISrobin311: Lucid is a 'test' player for now. His stay will be decided after the Nexus Cup.

posted about 7 years ago

These are just the first 6 players that come up on the team rosters. It's map to map so they'll be changed accordingly.

posted about 7 years ago

He's pretty damn good on his comfort picks, problem is that his DPS hero pool is a bit specific but we'll see what they do with him.

It does let them do some crazy comps where they could have up to 4 DPS on the field with him on an offensive support Hero.

Looking forward to seeing what they bring out.

Let me frame it for you since you currently seem utterly incapable of acknowledging anything that doesn't''t align with your opinion:

Do you value two apex championships more than a $150K contract? I’m curious if there are differing opinions on the matter.

From the OP. Now, obviously you value the number of competitions won and that's fine. I think I'm putting more value into the level of competition from what can arguably be called the most competitive region.

Why is this so hard for you to understand, your opinion isn't the only valid one, you don't need to agree.

we did not have these tournaments coz blizzard havent allowed (to make space for contenders)
koreans won apex s2
apex s3
europe apac 2016
apex s1
calling lh winning 2 apexs dynasty is just wrong they were 3 months apart

The things is, people with more eSports clout than you have called it a dynasty, unless you're saying you know more than they do.

Edit: For clarity.

people cant understand basic englisch and meaning of most decorated

I don't think that could sting any less even without the well placed typo. Note that your comment is largely irrelevant in a situation where people don't agree on how to quantify "most decorated".

Also note that the LH wins mostly came at a time where more teams were arguably better and in an environment that can be considered more consistently competitive than that of the west.

but the thing is west just had tournaments year before Korea plus contenders im not choosing team that won most tournaments just biggest

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean but you're literally saying that LH didn't win enough tournaments compared to Rogue and Envy so I'm a bit confused.

People don't need to agree with you though, so feel free to chill out when others don't share your views.

As already mentioned a few times, yes he's playing, yes he's getting invited to Pro pugs, he's still an insanely good player.

However, none of those things equate to him wanting to commit to being a Pro Overwatch player and all that it entails. So that's what i'm asking, has there been any indication that he wants to return to the professional side of the game as more than just a hobby?

Semantics aside it would be a pretty huge decision.

If true...would be one hell of a scary duo, though it would mean no Tracer since even though Fl0w3r can flex onto it I don't think it's where you want him to be.
