They may have decided on the player changes, but it's nevertheless a factor in a less convincing performance. Each thing that I listed (and we don't know if there are more going on) by itself is not a big deal, but when small issues add up you end up having a handful to deal with.

I agree that Rogue's performances are not up-to-par with what they showed before, and I said so myself, but let's see them perform in their environment before judging the matter, cause I for one didn't know about it until map 2 or 3 earlier.

And you brought ping up being the non-issue after I posted about them being stuck in Canada, I simply said there are more urging problems going on than ping, cause I honestly don't think a gaming lounge is the place to compete in a high level tourney.

I think it has to do with the investors not being sure an all french roster would represent an NA city and get fans and stuff, they might be apprehensive of their marketing value. If there was a slot in France, I believe it would've been done already.

C9 buys the spot. OWL is not an open league, there are limited teams that will be competing in it.
If C9 wants to sell their spot, the fans can't have London C9 becoming London EnVy (for example). First, it creates confusion among the fans, second and as listed above, all the merchandise and marketing value will drop immensely after selling.
So, Blizzard asks for fixed names for every spot, so they avoid this quid pro quo. Teams, and other businesses, change owners, but the brand stays the same.

And for #19, the players are contracted to Cloud9. All players sign a OWL contract that, I'm guessing, lists rules and conditions for them to be able to play in it.
Merch will be a Blizzard-Org thing where they work together on them imo, but not sure about this one.

Maybe last week's poor performance from Rogue was due to them practicing with Kolsti and not Winz. I still wanna give them the benefit of the doubt and say Rogue takes it 3-1.

The additions of Space and Sinatraa is huge for this squad. Never really watched Crems in a lot of games (is he more of a 3rd DPS than Dva player ?), but Kyb and him struggled last week, to say the least. Definitely an upgrade picking 2 of the best at their roles in the NA region.

As Laurence said, I doubt C9 will take these next few games' results too seriously as they're trying to figure out the best composition moving forward.

And I agree that having a UK player or two would benefit immensely marketing wise, but Mowzassa has proven himself many times and Sinatraa's a hard player to replace, unless the tryouts go sideways for him.

Dive at a pro level is not just that though ? I agree the most of it is screaming targets' names but you need to know what ults they have, which ones you're using before engaging, where they're gonna dive from, who on, etc.
As for the example you listed, I still believe most of it is the shotcaller's job. He'll tell everybody that what they're using next fight will be grav+sword and that's it, it's the players' jobs to position themselves accordingly to set up the winning play. I can see Zarya Rein chemistry being harder to develop, but it's in no way handicapping the team to the degree some people make it to be, in my opinion.
