It's possible he was just trying to keep things on the down-low, but comments he made on stream yesterday sure made it sound like he doesn't know if he'll be in OWL yet.

I honestly thought Jake was a bit full of shit with the 4-0 prediction, but it's certainly looking more believable now!

I had never heard him previously and I initially resented him for taking a spot that I thought should have gone to ZP (whether or not that's actually true, that was the feeling I had), but I've actually been pleasantly surprised. I think he's doing a solid job. I think he his casting will improve as his sense of the game matures, but I already like his style and think he has a good rapport with Hex.

I'm sure that's largely true. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel it's a good sign that there are more people watching the re-broadcast from last night than watched a lot of last year's Contenders matches.

I'm not certain, but I don't think so. There was no chat, the stream quality options were different, and people said the colors were a little different (which is why I switched to watching in the first place).

I for one watch almost every match but watched it on the Blizzcon site, not on Twitch. Obviously we don't know how many people did that, but I imagine the numbers were in the thousands.

Yes, green vs white has been much easier to differentiate than blue vs white.

There needs to be less white in the names, health bars and effects, but I like most of the other changes.

Zappis would be awesome on almost any team. Slight exaggeration, of course, but that guy is awesome. I honestly thought he was going to be on the Mayhem. I'm bummed that he doesn't appear to be in OWL.

If EnVy and OpTic don't intentionally play up the Dallas vs Houston rivalry, I will be seriously surprised.

Seems like Contenders S2 is going to have a lot of potential. I hope that Blizzard increases the prize pool to entice orgs to pick up some of the newly formed teams.

I'm a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (don't judge me!), and each season of the show Buffy and her friends must defeat a villain that they euphemistically refer to as the "Big Bad". Hence the name.

I think some of it has to do with the fact that this match started A LONG time before the advertised start time.

Hopefully the amount of attention his comments have received in the past few days will prompt teams who might have some space left to give him a second look. I really hope that's the case, anyway.

I hope IMT keeps GrimReality as a McCree specialist. I love watching him play that character.

This is probably a dumb idea for many reasons, but maybe the remaining players from C9/EUnited and Rogue can form a Contenders S2 super group?

Folks, it isn't complicated. OWL exists to make money. Seagull is a talented OW player, and he is a cash cow. Ergo, Seagull will be in the OWL.

Leaving aside the question of whether or not he's talented enough (I think he is, but my opinion doesn't matter), his enormous popularity will drive viewership, ticket sales, merchandising, and create immediate loyalty toward whatever team he is on. It would be insane not to have him in the OWL.
