Fl0w3R joined the New York Excelsior organization at the same time as the rest of his LW Blue teammates back in October. However, Fl0w3R, who is currently 17, was too young to play for the Overwatch League franchise.
When the rosters for the Overwatch League academy teams were announced, there was no Fl0w3R in sight despite all expectations. In his place was Mangachu in the flex DPS role.
The star of Korea's 2017 World Cup run will now join XL2 belatedly, becoming the seventh player on the roster. This comes after XL2 suffered a 3-1 defeat to Gladiators Legion. They are currently 1-1 on the season.
XL2 academy plays their next match Wednesday, March 28 against the Grizzlys. Fl0w3R is expected to make his Contenders debut during the match.
