1st game, neither team is very popular (misfits used to be but because of their long period of beeing bad they lost a lot of fans)
take over 2 had 25k peak and that was lan with rogue and eunited in finall (https://esc.watch/tournaments/ow/overwatch-takeover-2) and i wont be suprised if today during na rogue and nv matches we might hit 20k and thats pretty good
if your really interested in viewership i might make a thread about day 1 viewership and compare it to other tournaments (owc take over apex and melee)
Some people on here take a forum way too seriously, why does everything have to be positive? why does he have to write an essay when he starts a thread? sure he could've wrote more but calm down ladies, stop taking this forum too seriously. No shit he shows a negative bias when he's talking about 11k viewers, how can you possible turn that into a positive?
He opened up a thread with no effort to get other reactions regarding the title yet all we see are people crying about a lack of effort, fact of the matter is he isn't wrong the the numbers ARE low and I don't believe it's because Misfits are not that popular anymore, we're talking about the best teams in Europe, the ENTIRITY OF EUROPE OW and we are getting max 15k viewers, it is sad.

I'm biased but I don't believe I did, just iterating on why I didn't believe the thread as-is wasn't contributing to the conversation that could be had.
And you're right, 11k is a low number overall but unfortunately it's in line or higher with what most Overwatch tournaments get.

I think it would have been quite fine had he actually talked about the topic, possibly given some comparison to provide more context into why he thought it was sad.
It looks like viewership is north of 16k, possibly on it's way to 20. More OW to be had though, cheers.
It's not much different from previous online tournaments, in NA no less. If your expectations were different you may need to adjust them.
