After a month of what most would call underperformance, especially given the star-studded roster that the team fielded, NRG Esports made their first roster change by parting ways with their young support player, Ajax. After joining the team with harbleu in March, Ajax will now pursue free agency.
I am stepping down from main roster of NRG, I wish them best of luck. I was given option to fight for my spot, but I chose to be LFT now.

According to Ajax, NRG's management offered the ability to fight for his position, but Ajax declined and instead chose to look for opportunities elsewhere. Currently, NRG is seemingly trialling several players, but have not yet narrowed down the list.
The move comes shortly after NRG's hiring of Team SoloMid's ex-general manager, Derrick Truong. While the situation between Ajax and Truong is no secret, Ajax notes that the hiring has no connection with his roster spot, and that the decision to trial other supports was instead made by the team.
Ajax's old team, Kungarna, has announced a reformation due to Splyce's closing, but Ajax remains noncommittal regarding a potential spot on the roster. The team previously competed in the NGE Winter Premiere under the Ghost Gaming moniker, where they achieved a top-two placing in a LAN environment.
The NRG Esports roster is now as follows:
- André "iddqd" Dahlström (DPS)
- Anthony "harbleu" Ballo (Flex)
- Seb "numlocked" Barton (Tank)
- Tim "dummy" Olson (Support)
- Seamus "Seamoose" Anderson (Coach)
