Having a Welshman is an automatic win I'm afraid. Not even the Koreans could prevent a 4-0.
KuroiRyuu9625 [#2]Don't forget that Russia also had the rare flag meta advantage, yet they couldn't overcome the Canadian Bacon squad's Maple Syrup superiority.
All jokes aside Belgium has some scary ass players in SPREE and Logix but I think Team UK will take this in what I hope will be a very close match.
The Russians didn't have a dragon on their flags though!
From what I've seen in the Overwatch pro scene so far, GBR will win this on the back of Kruise on Genji unless Belgium have a Pharmacy strat or an underrated Genji . The ability of Genjis to win team fights with blades or even just dash resets is frightening and Kruise has improved so much with and without blade, as seen at contenders. Plus the coordination between Boombox and Kruise from EUnited will hopefully being us some nice trans-blades. Don't know much about the rest of the GBR team I'm afraid, although I did see them lose a closely run scrim on Lijing against Russia, but we all know about teams that win in scrims right XD. If the latest patch is live at the event (which I think it will be, correct me if I'm wrong) then Spree Zarya with Logix tracer will create some scary big bangs. I'm a little worried about the flexibility of the GBR team though, I've only ever seen boombox play zen and Kruise play genji. Should be an awesome game though either way.

Smex has an outstanding Soldier, so they should be able to deal with pharmercy far better than Russia did. Shouldn't worry about flexibility either, everyone has a really deep hero pool, Mikey's is probably the largest. Think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I look forward to seeing the team compete at Blizzcon then :)
Boombox FTW..
This Group feels like it is going to be the most competitive. With so many full team counties like Brazil (BGH), Israel (ZenGaming), Taiwan (Flash Wolves) and then the US, UK, and Germany fielding solid rosters I foresee a lot of FUN games to watch this weekend. Sadly I think Belgium is the weakest team even though they have Spree and Logix and they are gonna lose this one 4-0.
candlestick [#18]I dont understand how someone can be banned for cheating more than once (baud) and still be eligible to play at the highest level.

show us the evidence ETF2L!
Kruise's blades on point, Smex and Chris working reaaally well, Realzx and Boombox sticking together, and MikeyA really impressing me, miles better than when he was on FaZe.
On the other side you can see Logix and Spree trying, but this is a tall order for them unfortunately. UK looking too spicy right now.

To be fair to Mikey, he was constantly on 100+ ping as he was playing from Europe.

For sure, but there are players that still play tremendously well given that disadvantage. I guess my point was back then, I thought he was overrated because of how highly a lot of people were speaking about him.
He's definitely performing right now.
Diplomatt [#39]not getting carried away but were literally the best overwatch team in the world
Very diplomattic way of putting it

I dont see UK not making it now. Watching GER vs ISR they can destroy both these teams.
