If i understand this correctly he threw his matchmaking games on stream because he felt like it? The way this is being talked about on reddit and blizzard forums makes it seem like he threw a pro match so he could buy more puppies for his puppy torture dungeon, if he wants to throw pointless mm games he should be able do it, he is losing his mmr along the way so it balances itself out.

I once heard on stream that he's throwing because he doesnt want his smurf to be as high as like 4.5k perhaps but instead somewhere in between 4k to mid 4.2k

I think this points to larger issue in Blizzard's ranking system rather than, DAE DAFRAN HAS MENTAL ISSUES!!

It's a dick move to throw ranked matches and it's retarded to stream yourself throwing matches. Didn't someone else do this not too long ago?

I watched that stream for 30 minutes this morning. Here is what happened for those who don't know:

1. He was throwing\griefing with torb by running into walls and stuff. I think he was doing that for 8 hours straight, haven't seen it myself. When asked why he was doing it he said something along the lines of "I just wanna reck plat noobs"
2. The game sound was off and he was watching Gordon Ramsey videos on Youtube. The video window was covering half of the screen.
3. He was asking his viewers to queue snipe other streamers and throw their games. He also called this "movement" Overwatch ISIS.

I can't provide a video proof since you have to be a sub to watch his VODs.

Just ban or low-priority his account of whatever Blizzard do, no need for drama. Obviously he's a complete bell-end but that hardly makes him unique.

He is a notable player in a top-tier professional team. Makes him fucking unique in my book.

Maybe he's throwing because he wants the SR to be lower, but he's handling it like a bitch and he's being a sarcastic geek. My favorite player but being a fan doesn't change facts.

little bit harsh in my opinion but desarved, and the reason for punishment beeing this harsh is prodably fact that blizzard needs to make na example but overral even tho i like dafren he desarved it. Although selfless just took a big hit

Not sure if you're trolling or not so I'll just have to assume that you aren't. Your comment is largely besides the point though, cause throwing sucks for the teammates involved and it just makes the game not fun to play when it happens.

I have no clue why you yourself are mentioning skill in this because one does not need skill to throw, but one can indeed be mindless while doing it. And of course, throwing itself is what's classless and tasteless.

Either way, he's been suspended and they're apparently trying to get him some help with whatever he may be going through.

i thought it was funny at first bc he was still winning games despite messing around. but then it developed to where he was just purposely losing winnable games for a lot of players that take competitive mode seriously, which isn't funny or cool. and certainly that's not a good look for a brand like selfless

I just saw a video on Youtube breaking down what happened ( https://youtu.be/ASbJdJ1_Mys ) . Seems like Dafran threw in pro play too, ulting in spawn when he could have contested on the 2nd point (Oasis). Looks like this developed into a pattern, maybe the history played a part into the disciplinary action.

If someone is that hungry to stomp on shitters, why don't they just do the casual quick-play? Why purposely tank your mmr on an alt just to play in a lower tier?

Or does the fact that you're taking mmr away from shitters make you feel better when you stomp on them, and so quickplay just won't cut it?

I didn't watch the stream, but I assume he did it to tank his own MMR to get better teamates and therefore more fun games, alot of high MMR complain about how the match making works. Mendo did the same thing in a previous season, but he at least had the decenecy to get five friends to throw with him
