Steps in the right direction but Roadhog and Ana still need major nerfs.
Kinda sucks waiting a full week only to see 2 quick 3-0's ... :(
Very true and after watching the entire video I agree. Dummy is a pretty straight-forward, no nonsense kind of person but he had some very detailed, well informed things to say about players/teams that I found pretty interesting.
Had no idea Thorin had transitioned into OW with that "Oversight" show w/ Monte, seems like a good pairing! Dummy needs to get a sense of humor though, he was a pretty awkward the entire time.
Expected Panthera to win due to their very strong current form and how well they've embraced this seasons meta ... but damn that was one-sided. Really hope fnatic bounces back from this because I'm a huge Custa/Vonethil fanboi.
Why would you ever see gods on McCree with s4 on his team?
Ok that makes a lot more sense then, lol. Yeah Pharmercy and McMercy hopefully will be viable once again. Definitely getting tired of Ana/Lucio and before that Zen/Lucio only support combinations.
What you may perceive as "vague" I perceive as being professional. He is loyal to both C9 and doesn't want to make a bad impression of himself going into a new organization (NV). Airing dirty laundry right after accepting a new role in a new org would be a bad PR move on his part. This isn't a jab @ you either, that's just the way I see it.
He was honest in the fact that things didn't work out the way he wanted them to and that there were differences within the team but I thought he went about the interview in a very dignified way. I wish him the best of luck with NV as I think he embodies all the qualities a coach needs to be both useful and respected by his team.
GODS in 2017 doesn't really scream "stacked" to me but maybe I'm just hatin'
Still wondering what their reasoning for this move was exactly.
Why would Mercy's pickrate go up if dive comps become more prominent? I've always felt like Mercy and Zen both were always extremely susceptible to dives.
I feel like if anything, if dive comps become more prevalent, Ana/Lucio relevance will remain the same with Mercy/Zen being situational/preference picks as they always have been.
After the Ana "nerf", DVA getting gutted, and Roadhog's hook no longer ripping people through solid objects, what do you think the next professional meta will evolve into, if anything at all?
For me personally I'm so thankful that DVA is nerfed though I agree with many it was a bit overboard. I'm really hoping we at least get back into a 2/2/2 meta where Reaper/McCree/Tracer/Genji will see more match time.
Misfits looked weak and stubborn. 3 different players playing Widowmaker, none of them effective at all, none swap off when it's clearly not working. Also really not feeling Manneten over Nevix @ DPS, he isn't an impact player.
I'm hoping Misfits used this match as some kind of glorified practice session cause they were thoroughly outskilled and outplayed.
It's almost hereeeee
How old is Kyky? I always considered coaching something players did after their prime had ended and they wanted to pursue careers within the industry. Kyky never seemed to me like a weak-link or even anything close to that as I've always considered him one of C9's most consistent players.
Anyway best of luck to him w/ NV.
Something I think that would really be nice in the match page is a "previous match history" for both teams. Something like the last 3-5 matches they've played competitively so we know who is hot/cold coming into their upcoming games. Also a head-2-head section wouldn't be bad either.
Anyway, the new updates look great! Looking forward to further improvements!
I remember reading something on this site about a reform like that, with pine and nano/flower being the featured DPS. Oh well ... they look strong regardless but ... PINE! :(
Misfits 3-2 or 3-1, hyped for this
I think in the long run Haffi will pan out better than iddqd. He is more versatile and buds has proven he can play hitscan at a very high level as well. This gives them far more depth at the DPS/flex position as they never had a strong projectile hero in their roster before.
darkhorse spoiler c7 lets gooo
Even though they're still winless in NGE, this team has shown potential. Wish Dogman and c7 best of luck moving forward.
Really hoping the new update comes out soon. Would be a really nice change of pace to see some high level 2/2/2 matches and not this 3 or 4 tank turtle comp nonsense.
Hopefully they keep Enigma too, he's always been a flexible player who also plays a solid Tracer on KOTH for them.
I also like how people are talking about iddqd, skip, even 2easy as potential pickups but nobody is talking about Talespin, lol. Dude is washed up.
Really hoping C7 can pull out a win here. Really sucks to see a new team go 0-4 :(
Really random they are starting this round on a Tuesday ... rather than this past weekend?
Not familiar with either of these players but I was always a fan of Winghaven.
[*] really sucks that timing and money brought this organization to an end and not something else. GL in the future to the CEO and COO
I agree, zunba is an incredible Zarya (still remember his play on Eichenwalde rocket boosting himself up the platforms and grav'ing through the window on the last point on attack. Literally such a next level play. He's too good to be a backup player so I wonder if something else is in the works.
I think Renegades will take this. They have been looking good so far and Jesus/Manga are proving to be a pretty solid DPS pairing in the NA scene.
Such a drag LW Red didn't qualify, nanohana is such a beast.
Just wondering if anyone knows when the next big international or EU/NA/KR tournament is? Unlike HLTV this site doesn't have a matches/events archive where you can look up what's been going on and what's to come :x
Laughed my ass off
I like how Mendo and Seagull both kind of deflected the conversation away from Zen vs. Ana/Ana being OP to the fact that tanks themselves are too strong. Roadhog's hook especially should be looked at just as closely as Ana's grenade as it is as broken/more broken and has been since the game's release.
Uncia 4-2 or 4-3. Evermore and Panthera looking stronger every time I see them, should be a good one!
AF Blue continues to disappoint.
Freecs might have lost this one (was a close match watched the restream, TY Admireable!) but my hats off to them for playing a very good match with new players and also not being meta slaves, running 2/2/2 along with KD Panthera going 2/2/2 on certain attack points as well.
2Easy and Seagull definitely right about the Koreans eventually forming a mega-team when players begin to establish themselves more. Nanohana, Haksal, Miro, Ryu could make for a pretty insane core.
No insiders with a link to this match stream :x
Yep. I always thought Tale was their weakest, most irrelevant player on the roster after the Pharah meta ended. His Genji, Tracer, Junkrat, Mei were all unimpressive/bad. To go and quit the team days before a tournament and then indirectly insulting Taimou, just a bitch move and I hope no decent, self-respecting team picks up that wash up.
The battle of the horribly disappointing NA teams :( Hoping both of these teams can get out of their slump and start getting back on a winning track.
Stayed up until 3am to watch this match. Upon the opening 10 seconds of the stream I saw LH run 4 tanks, 76 and single healer Ana and Misfits run 3 tank, 76, Luci/Ana with Nevix on Ana.
Turned the stream off and went to sleep. This meta fucking blows.
Really hoping NRG gets their shit together, they've been embarrassingly disappointing in the last few months.
Didn't Zonda use to be on ahq?
Lots of pressure on Misfits to prove that the meta change isn't going to affect them like it did with Rogue. Really praying they don't come out with the standard trip tank/76 nonsense.
Why are these matches not being streamed today?
Pretty hyped for this match-up even though Misfits has only had a couple weeks to prepare. I wonder if the Swedes are going to try to rewrite their playbook or go with what has worked for them in the past. Either way, I'm definitely staying up to whatever godforsaken hour this event goes live.
What role is Hafficool going to be assuming in FNC? Tank/flex?
