Daniel “GODS” Graeser did not allow himself to wallow in free agency for too long, as he announced via Cloud9’s site that he would be joining the team for the long run. His first appearance with the team will be during OGN’s second season of APEX, where Cloud9 hopes to follow up on Team EnVyUs’s performance in the first season.
The team has made it abundantly clear that the “carry” role will fall between their three traditional DPS players, Surefour, Mendokusaii, and GODS. While all three are known for their prowess on different DPS heroes, they’ve also demonstrated their worth on various tanks, such as Zarya, Roadhog, and Winston. As such, the three will split time flexing throughout the hero pool, picking whatever is best for the current match at hand.
Previously with NRG, GODS left after he felt as though there were too many personality conflicts within the team. However, he looks to reaffirm his position in the professional scene by helping Cloud9 improve their performance and compete with the best in APEX.
For those wondering what's going on with me, I am coaching for @TeamEnVyUs during Apex. Thanks for all the support.

GODS will replace Kyle “KyKy” Souder, who joins Team EnVyUs as a trialling coach for the remainder of APEX. While KyKy was previously the captain and flex tank of Cloud9, he looks to use his experience in a leadership position to guide Team EnVyUs, and perhaps repeat their performance at APEX's first season.
As of now, the Cloud9 roster is as follows:
- Lane ”Surefour” Roberts (Flex)
- Daniel ”GODS” Graeser (Flex)
- Lucas ”Mendokusaii” Håkansson (Flex)
- Ruben "ryb" Ljungdal (Tank)
- Randal "Roolf" Stark (Support)
- Adam "Adam" Eckel (Support)
The team will compete in APEX's group stages starting with a match against CONBOX Spirit, on January 20 at 7:00 PM KST.
