Having watched the UK in a lot of scrims I think they're a lot stronger than most people think. I reckon we'll top the group, but if we're wanting to beat one of Taiwan/Brazil/USA then we really need to be winning most of our matches by at least 3-1/4-0 to fill me with any hope of us making Blizzcon.

He can't stay in his current state for too long as he's just far too overpowered right now. His right click either needs a damage reduction when hitting into a wall or at least a 6 second cool down instead of 4.

The Russians didn't have a dragon on their flags though!

My problem with Doomfist is his right click. It's literally a redefined version of the hook combo with Roadhog, except with a much shorter cool down, and therefore makes the Roadhog nerfs even more baffling than before.

Having a Welshman is an automatic win I'm afraid. Not even the Koreans could prevent a 4-0.

How is this legal?

South Korea can win this 2 different ways. One is they do exactly what they've been doing so far and just have fun with different comps and win that way. Second is they just play pharmercy for the entire match and wipe Russia in under 20 mins. Can't see any other outcome other than a 3-0 after seeing how poor they were at dealing with Mangachu, never mind coming up against Flow3r's Pharah.

Definitely one of the most bizarre Overwatch games of recent times. Russia were clearly the better team but I've also never seen a team so inept at dealing with one player. I think had uNFixed been playing then Russia would've won, but nevertheless Canada made full use of the clear advantage they had with Pharah.

Mangachu is clearly extremely nervous. Don't think he wants to constantly play Pharah incase he messes up. If he had more LAN experience then Canada would have probably won by now as Russia have no answer for it.

This would probably be over if Unfixed was playing for Russia.

There's the answer to how will Russia cope with pharmercy without a recognised soldier.

I feel so bad for Roolf after that first map. His orb's of discord's were constantly on SB and it was shutting him down almost every fight. His dragonblades are just so good though. xQc needs to sort out his dives as well in these next maps.

Think I was being a little too optimistic in my earlier predictions. Having watched both games of both teams, it's pretty clear there's only one outcome of this match.

Flow3r outdated, Ryujehong overrated, South Korea eliminated.

4-0 for the Oranje.

It's all a game of opinions. I think you've massively overestimated Canada, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Nevertheless it'll be the best game of the tournament this weekend.

Just my opinion. Surefour shines when the emphasis is put on him and his team tries to play around him, something Canada haven't been doing because they've got so many good individuals. From what I've seen from Mistakes in both the World Cup and Contenders, his Tracer has impressed me more than most in the west.

Shadowburn's pharah versus Mangachu's? Only one outcome in that scenario.

Imo, Mistakes Tracer is better than Surefour's, SB's Genji is better than Agilities and sharyk's tank play is better than xQc's. Everything else if fairly even. I reckon Russia will have the edge in this game but ultimately it's a team game and comes down to who performs better on the day. Russia certainly haven't looked like a team who've had limited practice though.

Should have mentioned though if Canada play pharmercy then Russia might struggle. Without unfixed they don't have a stand out soldier.

I agree, but imo only Fragi and Kaiser boast a better Rein than him, so I'd of expected to see him around. Can only imagine his Winston must be incredibly poor in comparison to other Korean tanks.

I think it'll be a 4-0, just not as brutal as yesterday. That was hard to watch.

Does anyone know what happened to Panker? With Rein coming back into the meta I'd of expected him to be around as he's got one of the best Rein's in the world.

I imagine next weeks group stages will have the highest viewership. It wouldn't surprise me if any match with the USA in it got between 50,000-75,000 viewers on the English stream alone, as the time zones will be perfect for both EU and NA. One can hope at least anyway.

I have a horrible feeling we're about to witness a repeat of what happened to Australia in last years world cup.

Boombox said on stream that he moved here when he was younger and he still lives in England now. Because hes eligible for citizenship as he's lived here for more than 5 years they thought he could play for the UK, but blizzard said you need to have citizenship for the country you're representing in order to play.

It's a shame that this wasn't the team from the start as they'll have had limited scrim time together. If they can get things working then there's no reason they couldn't top their group. Nevertheless, their game against Canada has the potential to be one of the best of the group stages. Really looking forward to it.

Born in Lativa, moved to the UK when he was like 6. Think he tried to get citizenship for the World Cup but couldn't do it in time, hence why he wasn't in the team.

To be fair, I did hear that there's no team more deserving to go to Korea than Vivi's adventure.

I think the general consensus has been that the USA team could have been made much stronger than it currently is, and therefore people don't think that the team can live up to the hype that's supposed to surround them as they are a giant in eSports. I personally think that the synergy between the players could be excellent, clearly something KyKy also saw between them when having trials. Having said that though, they are coming up against two ready made teams (possibly 3, not sure about New Zealand), and so whether or not they can compete with that we'll have to wait and see. As for who they face if they make the top two, on paper both the UK and Germany have very good teams and in my opinion (obviously I'm biased with the UK) could both match up against any of the teams, with perhaps the exception of Taiwan, in group G. I expect them to qualify from their group, but I don't think they've got the same guarantee that the likes of France, China and Sweden have had in qualifying for BlizzCon.

Think this'll be a really interesting game. The Netherlands have probably had significantly more scrim time than South Korea simply because Zunba, Tobi and Ryu will have been scrimming with LH for APEX much more than with the national team. Having said that though, I still feel SK are clear favourites as role for role they have the better players, despite the Netherlands still being a talented bunch. Hope I'm wrong but I'm going for a 3-1 SK.
