technically SKYTRiXHA had the jump on all of this before the official news article was published
Bishop should be able to help Xepher and Selly get up to par language wise considering he was noted as having very good English. Supposedly both of them are incredible players but weren't really able to get a shot after the Geguri scandal
I'm still a bit confused as to why ryb was dropped and Gods would be filling his role considering how good he is mechanically but KnOxXx also gave up his spot on Lucio to go to main tank somewhat recently as well. Only time will tell if moving Gods to main tank will pay off for them
Also can someone tell me about the Geguri scandal? I know it has to do with a cheating girl right? How was this guy involved.
From the little that I know about Xepher and Selly's involvement in the event itself, they seemed to just be in the wrong place at the wrong time, which certainly affected how sponsors valued them
Edit: a google search of the whole thing basically led to this:
Insane series. Really thought RunAway could take it but LH really came alive in the last 2 maps. Esca also seemed to be stepping up at the end of the series but his inconsistent performance throughout the tournament is still something to be concerned about when talking about Lunatic-hai's roster as a whole.
Really hope RunAway can pick up a sponsor for season 4 because with how well they've done this season and how fast they've risen to challenge the competition that kind of talent and potential is hard to ignore if you're a sponsor.
Gods to main tank? Didn't see that one coming but it's speculation so anything can happen essentially. Then again KnOxXx did essentially the same thing for Rogue but they've been known as of late for running a lot of 3 DPS and solo tank
really want Runaway to win this, as it'd be such a great end to a tournament run for them. LH is going to put up a really good fight though so by no means is it going to be easy for Runaway
Runaway 4-3
3-1 Meta with LH keeping every map close
LG seemed to be out of steam over the course of the series. It did take a bit for Jake to "get going" as the casters mentioned but IMT just was more consistent in their overall play. Hollywood was pretty rough for LG but they did put up a bit of a fight towards the end. Nepal and the first attack/defense phases seemed to really just stop all momentum that LG had built up. Not sure if Jake having to take cover due to a tornado warning had anything to do with it but great to see that he's alright.
That being said, IMT played really well and it's going to be really interesting to see how these two fare once more teams like NRG start competing once again
gonna predict a close 3-1 evil
liquid has been looking better as penda mentioned but I can't see this being a straight up roll
iirc there was some proposed change on the ptr that had Zen discord orbs being able to penetrate shields
Thank goodness that didn't make it into the live game
holy cow twitch chat is ruthless
Jebaited 28-3 FALCONS Jebaited 3-1 INDIANS Jebaited 3-1 GOLDEN STATE Jebaited 4-1 PSG Jebaited 2-0 SELFLESS Jebaited
still a crazy series overall
I actually think the nade nerf would have been better than the rifle nerf because her rifle is where a player's mechanical skill really shines. Anyone can point their crosshair in a general direction and press E
Predicting this one to be a close 3-2 going the way of EnVy
Although I can see this one being similar to their game vs LH where although it was a 3-0, 2 of the 3 maps were rather close
https://clips.twitch.tv/KnottyBelovedBurritoCmonBruh
also those world rankings that were recently released are surely going to be shaken up if games like this continue
Honestly I think if ana's bio nade scaled down as more teammates (or even enemies) got hit by it, her bio nade would be a bit more balanced but I'm not sure if blizzard has considered this as a change
Junkrat changes are interesting but how it was worded makes me wonder if it's all the time or only kicks in during certain situations
Not sure why sombra got another buff but I can understand changing the radius from which she's heard from when she comes out of invisibility. I guess the translocator cooldown reduction is so that she's getting more opportunities to open up a fight but I'm no sombra expert
Winston bubble changes are good but I personally think they should've been in the game sooner but that's good that it's coming in now
Good to see zen buffs but Bren and Admirable summed up the changes best imo
Zen meta incoming
Dive comp to be the only comp worth running it feels like if these changes go live.
Unless Blizzard were to buff Orisa to the point that she's blatantly overpowered, I don't see her being a replacement for Rein anytime soon. Her kit is fantastic and when I played her on the PTR she felt really well balanced for a hero that had just been announced.
I guess if Blizzard really wanted to make her an "anchor tank" she would probably need more health and a redesigned shield that covered more area, but I question even those changes because I'm not sure if she would be crossing the verge of overpowered.
Predicting either 3-2 LH or 3-1 LH
I also could really see the loser of this making a lower bracket run and making this the grand finals match
I remember seeing in some video that a nano'd bastion in turret form doesn't even get locked onto by high noon, not to mention he can also outheal a hanzo ult. Just this is probably going to make the lower ranks utter hell where players before had a very hard time with bastion. Now I feel like he's going to be basically invincible.
I wonder if Blizzard would have dropped the 35% damage reduction to Bastion while in turret form and kept all the other changes if he'd still be a situational pick. Now bastion seems to be less of a cheese/meme strat and more of a really good replacement for a combo DPS that the team centers itself around
the meme is IID = IDDQD
Blizzard must be relieved that 4 tanks didn't quite work.
it's not like Hammers was running quad tank the entire tournament just to say OLD META LUL but to me at least, the multi-tank comp was more of a response to Rogue's triple DPS comp, and in some instances, it was working. But barely.
Still a crazy good grand finals though
KnOxXx to tank? Didn't see that one coming
no 6th confirmed for renegades?
is enigma a standin or confirmed for liquid?
That wouldn't really work because they're looking for a flex and a support player
name a team that can (and has) consistently taken matches off of nV in recent times
Sideshow, you played with the 240 hz monitor when you demoed it, how would you say it compares to a 144 hz? Was it significantly better than a 144 hz? Any estimates of price tags that can be expected? It's obviously not going to be cheap but I'm certainly curious what it's going to be priced at
sorry, should have clarified
harb and numlocked are both vocal leaders, and in game having 2 people with those roles can (not saying it will) cause conflicts in comms
I still do think that harb would be a crazy pickup for NRG if they do decide to pick him up
the only possible concern that I could see with harb joining is his personality and in game comms clashing with numlocked. Otherwise harb would be a crazy pickup
Seagull + IDDQD is going to be a crazy duo
wonder who else is going to be joining?
It's also a bit wierd seeing that picture because I remember hearing from an interview that numlocked and enigma were the 2 main voices keeping things together, but this new lineup looks rather promising if they're going to be sticking with it
MikeyA in FaZe? PogChamp
or is he just a stand in?? :o
Any predictions if ana/Lucio will continue to be the support duo? Or will one of them be potentially swapped out for another healer on certain maps (say mercy on hanamura first instead of ana for example)
he's recently changed it
To be fair, Mickie's addition to EnVyUs after Talespin left seemed to make the team environment better for all of them
From what I've heard, Enigma is also one of the main voices on the team, aside from Numlocked. I think Seagull mentioned it in an interview but I can't find it atm
are there even players available up to caliber to replace enigma/clockwork/milo that will get them to where they want to be?
someone mentioned iddqd earlier, and also with TwoEasy having left FaZe and Skipjack departing ways with Rogue, there are certainly opportunities for others that can open up
Really enjoyed watching Gods play while he was with NRG. Wonder where he will go :thinking:
It's only been what, 2 months since i58 happened and muma and company have found an organization for future stuff? It still blows my mind how fast the scene is growing. Congrats to everyone on GFe!!
Incredible how much the scene is growing. Seeing how hype the overwatch open was, this should be another great event
Hey zebbo did win a first place title with [R]eason Gaming back when he played tf2 if my memory serves me correctly, so technically he's already broken it.
Edit: past successes put aside, amazing job by everyone on misfits. Almost wasn't sure if they could have pulled it off against envyus but they pulled though.
apologies for the late reply, but I've finally gotten around to checking the specs of my laptop.
```AMD A8 7410 APU with AMD radeon r5 graphics, 2200 Mhz with 4 cores```
I'm honestly not very knowledgeable in the field of hardware, so I'm probably just going to do what you and RecurveZ had suggested and hope that I'll be able to make it performance wise.
Thanks for the help as well
Anyone have any idea on how well it fares? I'm going to be away at college and will only have a mediocre performance laptop to accompany me.
And before anyone tells me to just get a pc for gaming, I already have one. The size of the case is just too big to fit practically. I also won't have the mental stamina to not play when I need to be doing homework.
I won't care about graphics or much really, since I'm trying to work my way into competitive (I'm really liking the tank role but I'd like enough frames to play competently).
Any help/suggestions is appreciated :)
