It takes a great coach to lead a great team.

Please welcome @GunbaOW as our @PlayVALORANT coach. From Immortal to Valorant, we're in good hands. pic.twitter.com/K90LQ8VWas
He is one of the most recent figures in the Overwatch scene to take up a role in VALORANT. It also follows the Immortals’ acquisition of four players for their VALORANT roster last month. The Immortals are the parent company of the Valiant.
Gunba has been with the Valiant since last October; it was his second time with the team, with the first being during the 2018 season. In-between those periods, he was a coach for the Boston Uprising in the 2019 season.
Before taking the coaching role, he was a support player in the Oceania region, notably playing for Blank Esports and the Australia World Cup team in 2017.
Last week, the Valiant signed British Hurricane head coach Unter as an assistant coach. He and head coach Packing10 currently make up the team’s staff.
It is unknown what Gunba’s plans are for Overwatch in the future. He and the organization did not respond for comment.
