Blizzard Entertainment have announced that the Overwatch League matches for the cancelled March and April homestands will be played online.
The matches will play live starting on March 21 with a revised schedule that will be posted next week, according to the news post. Activision-Blizzard CEO Pete Vlastelica previously stated that the matches will be broadcasted on YouTube.
The homestands were cancelled following the coronavirus outbreak that has affected thousands worldwide. Earlier this year, events set in China and South Korea were also cancelled.
Blizzard also stated that due to a number of teams and players having not played yet, the All-Star Weekend will be moved to after the 2020 season, and the Midseason Tournament has been cancelled.
