Today our contract with Tae-hong "MekO" Kim has come to an end. We thank @MekOppa for two outstanding seasons and for everything he's done for NYXL.

MekO was a member of the Excelsior's original roster. He joined as part of the LuxuryWatch Blue squad that was signed together by the Excelsior and found himself as a mainstay on the starting lineup as the team's only off-tank player.
The Excelsior and MekO ended the 2018 regular season with the league's best record, but lost in their first playoff series. The Excelsior did not add any off-tank players to their lineup in the next offseason and thus MekO was once again called upon as the team's sole D.Va player.
Despite that, he did not play in every map of the 2019 season. As the metagame shifted and teams began to use three DPS more, MekO was subbed out in favor of Saebyeolbe and watched as his longtime teammate occasionally play D.Va as a result. The Excelsior finished the regular season with the third best record and an Atlantic Division title. They finished third in the playoffs.
MekO is the second departure for the Excelsior this offseason. The team decided not to pick up Fl0w3R's team option earlier this month.
They currently have no off-tank players on their roster.
