Also, here is a blog post explaining the reasoning behind these choices
And here is the final 7-player roster.
Kinda surprised they decided to go with Winz over Dridro. That team intro video is sick, though.
I'm not saying he's not a good player. He definitely has great shotcalling abilities, a ton of experience, and as an ex-rogue he might have a better synergy with the team they picked up. I still think it's a decent choice. But at the end of the day, Winz has not been playing high-level profesionnal overwatch for about a year now, whereas Dridro has revealed himself as one of the best EU Mercy in the meantime. Given the prevalence of Mercy in the meta (even though it could still change by the time the WC starts), I think it's understandable that a lot of people would question this decision.
The final phase of OWWC is in LAN settings so you want to avoid any possible choke
I don't know if dridro played a single LAN, let alone a premier event, he's 15yo, so prone to stressing, Asking is a bit older (21yo I think) but kind of unproven as well in that regard
aKm and winz are both multiple LAN veteran, they've been playing at the top level for years, we know they won't choke, it probably influenced daemon's judgement
Edit : for the people downfragging, read how Zaprey choked in Atlantic Showdown in 2016 because of youth
