The signing marks a major change to Blank Blue's core lineup after a lengthy period of continuity. Adam, Signed, Gob and Micro have competed together since their days as Monopoly Club in early 2017, working alongside a variety of support duos that included players such as Smash, Grafix, Kura and Ahren. At times they have lead the Oceanic region, taking home 1st place in the ESL ANZ Championship under Athletico and winning the first Open Division Season in 2018.
Blank Blue fell short of a grand final appearance in Contenders Australia Season 1 after turning in a respectable regular season peformance, losing to Masterminds GC in the semifinals. The addition of an experienced player in Aetar, who has excelled previously on the international stage, may be what Blank Blue needed to return to the number one spot in Oceania. For now, the team will be focused on preparing for their first match of the season against the reigning champions on the 2nd of July.
