While this is Gillette's first time venturing into Overwatch esports, they have been partnered with Team SoloMid since 2017 and sponsored ESL's Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice in February of that same year.
Gillette is a longtime partner of the Kraft Group, the parent company behind the Boston Uprising. Gillette joins a number of sponsors already partnered with Overwatch, including Jack in the Box with the Dallas Fuel and NETGEAR with the Seoul Dynasty, among others.
According to a news release from the Uprising, Gillette's branding will be featured on the team's practice jerseys and within the team's practice facility. It is currently unknown whether or not the Gillette logo will make it onto the Uprising's gameday jerseys.
The next match for the Boston Uprising is today at 9 p.m. EDT against the Los Angeles Valiant.
