Dafran in Open Division

Ok, I know Dafran topics are worn out but I think most of us are extremely interested in him because we recognize that talent. I don't wanna turn this into an argument about his willingness to compete either. We've gone there. We all know the story and the sides and the "he will do what he wants" attitude but that's not what sports speculation is about lol. We just shooting around random thoughts.

So, the other day he was competing obviously for fun in open division but it's his first known venture into organized play since his break (besides pro pugs obv).

I don't know if he spoke on it at all in the stream but I'm still curious about it. He looked a little shaky on that stream but definitely honed in on advanced strategy rather than flashy pogchamps.

So idk, lets talk about it.

Gotta keep it 100 with you chief: I don't think Dafran is a better tracer than SBB, Striker, or Carpe. Would it be fun to watch him in OWL? Of course, but this insane mythology built up around his play like he would come in and just absolutely carry teams is so silly.

Dafran has already made it clear he is playing 4D Chess, back when he said he still won't participate in the World Cup.

"Am I better than SBB, Striker, etc? We'll never know" He wants to keep that 'mystery' for as long as possible, because it's great

I know alot of you probably hate dafran for the throw for dafran meme but when I watched this video of him it really changed my mind.

His best hero is probably soldier, who is currently out of meta and he will be rusty as he's been away from the competitive scene for so long. However saying that, I believe that if soldier comes back into the meta and he grinds hard he could be one of the top dps.
