Houston Outlaws' Jake spoke to over.gg following his team's clean 4-0 victory over the
Shanghai Dragons.
The Outlaws are set to face a vulnerable Dallas Fuel later today. Their previous encounter during preseason resulted in a narrow 3-2 victory for the Fuel.

this match was really close and imo Outlaws has a higher ceiling than Fuel
Some pro gamer had a quote about the right kind of confidence. Can't remember if it was an OW pro but it said something about convincing yourself youre already better than anyone isn't good, you need to have confidence that you have the ability to and figure out how. Obviously I'm not in their heads, just what I meant by false confidence
I guess what I should have said is "I hope its not a false confidence"
I think the victory was very important for them because they needed to break their loss streak even if it was against one of the weaker teams. Houston are now coming into this game with nothing to lose, having lost to Dallas previously, so they can push more in this game and play in a more attacking style which suits them a lot better.
On the other hand, Dallas will be worried about this game. They haven't won a game so far this season and following a shock 3-0 defeat to LAV, who everyone knew was good but not as good as the supposed top teams, there is going to be immense pressure on them to beat Houston who aren't seen as one of the stronger teams, but who have an unpredictability which means they too potentially could take it to the fuel. This coupled with some of the big weaknesses that Fuel showed last game mean that Houston have every right to come into this game feeling confident.
Huston is going to get stomped. Dallas might of looked sloppy but that's vs the best OWL has. This Huston team belongs in contenders with SHD, Miami McDonalds, and SFS. Sorry boys and girl, the teams were made by bum buddies, not made to have the best talent. "Hey you should try out my buddy, he's really good." followed by "Hey you should recruit my buddy he's really good". Then you arrive with Jake and Clockwork on a OWL team. Those two are shitters of the worst kind, The saving grace for their team is LiNkzr, and the tanks/supports. Mendo is afk? Looked decent a while back, but who knows now in a season match.
SHD are what you get if you picked 6 names out of a hat of GM players.
