Are there any legendary matches that have happened that I should watch? Haven't watched any comp OW at all and trying to gain some knowledge on the scene!
you should watch apex s1 (shows greatly how change to character completely shifts meta and which teams are best, from rogue to envy)
for more fun games maybe see some of taimou widowmaker in envyus vs bk stars during apex s2
look into this thread for favourite matches of people https://www.over.gg/5944/favorite-overwatch-match-ever#21
if youre really interested yo might read these (yes by me and not great but will do) and maybe watch some of the biggest tournaments mentioned there

Atlantic Showdown, Overwatch Open, APAC, and DreamHack Winter for few older than apex s1 and great tournaments maybe apex s2 and s3 finals
-United States vs South Korea, World Cup 2017 - South Korea dominant US looks to upset with the home crowd on their side
-Rogue vs. EnvyUs , Atlantic Showdown 2016, Rogue breaks an insanely long EnvyUs winning streak in a cool series where now famous DPS players TViQ and AKM pop off
-Lunatic Hai vs. Kongdoo Panthera, Apex Season 3 Grand final 2017, two Korean teams, also at the time known as the two best teams in the world are in a slugfest of the most esteemed consistent tournament we have seen in the the pre- Overwatch league era, Lunatic Hai has some of the most famous players (Ryujehong, Zumba etc.) in the game who will be a part of the projected number one team in the Overwatch league Seoul Dynasty.
That should be a good baseline- happy thanksgiving!
One of my personal favorites is Misfits vs fnatic at the DH Winter grand finals. Another great match is Cloud 9 vs Kongdoo Uncia during APEX Season 2. Also, check out Immortals vs Rogue during the BEAT invitational finals. These are all some matches that are often looked over but actually were a lot of fun to watch and all showcased some high level play.
