Singluarity make wholesale roster changes

The roster is now:

chrisTFer (Tank)
Smex (Flex)
Fischer (DPS)
Popifresh (DPS)
Kellex (Support)
Dante (Support)

A lot of big names in the roster now, but the most blaring change to me is cutting Kragie, who was by far their best performer over the last two weeks.

So as everyone now knows I'll be playing this week in European contenders under the Singularity spot.

Earlier this week I heard about the fact that the Danish roster was going to disband so me and Fischer spoke to Kellex about potentially taking over the spot. The original roster all agreed as they weren't going to use it. We had only a few hours to select a roster before the roster lock so everything was a bit of a rush.

Few important things to note:
This team is purely a tool for the players to a) stay warm on a competitive level via scrimming and competing regularly b) potentially gain exposure for the upcoming OWL. This means that all players have agreed that should OWL trial opportunities arise we will prioritise that for any player.

That being said the team has no relation to the Singularity Organisation at all but we are not able/allowed to change the team name so we are stuck with it.

So basically: still LFT OWL

I truly hope that both Christfer and Dante are in the OWL. Fischer and Smex are very talented as well.

In reality, the entire team got dropped, and this new team is just playing under Singularity's banner. I don't believe they are being paid at all, it's more or less Singularity giving them the OWC spot rather than selling it.

This mentality is so ridiculous, but unfortunately often seen these days.

I think it's more that they lost two games without winning a single map, and not yet having faced the "top teams" of the tournament. given what most teams goals for Contenders are they probably felt they'd be able to get more exposure individually in other possibly more successful teams.

I wouldn't call that ridiculous, you don't want to be seen as a weak player because of your team's weak results. Unless you think they could have turned it around and gotten better results in matches that would possibly have gotten even more difficult to win.

OWL is the goal right now, and the most effective way to get yourself seen and known is what's smart, imo.

That's a nutty roster. It's a shame they're currently 0-8 down in maps.
