Following the recent dissolution of Splyce’s Overwatch team, precursor team Kungarna has returned with a reformed roster. The team plans to compete this weekend in the Rivalcade Rumble and has already signed up for Overwatch Contenders NA.
In early February, Kungarna and Splyce merged under Splyce, though failed to improve on their previous results; now, the Kungarna core of babybay, mykL, and iRemix has joined Pookz, Dogman, and Bischu in a new roster.
Proud to announce that Kungarna @PlayOverwatch is back! We will be competing this weekend in the Rivalcade Rumble and Overwatch Contenders!

Kungarna came to relevance in the North American scene after a second place finish in the inaugural Winter Premiere qualifier with quad and triple tank. The team then failed to replicate that success in following qualifiers, eventually making it into the main tournament in seventh seed out of eight. After that slump Kungarna ramped their performance back up, finishing both round robins in second place before beating compLexity in the semifinals.
After their finalist performance in the Winter Premiere, Kungarna split in half with Ajax, ConnorJ, and b1am signing to TSM while the other three merged into Splyce. Neither was as strong as the original; TSM failed to even complete a roster and Splyce had only minor success in small tournaments.
With Overwatch Contenders now showing a clear path to success for teams with the skill, Kungarna will be aiming to revisit that past success with their new three.
The reformed Kungarna roster will be:
- Andrej "babybay" Francisty (DPS)
- Michael "mykL" Padilla (Flex)
- Aaron ”Bischu” Kim (Flex)
- Luis "iRemix" Galarza (Tank)
- Dusttin "Dogman" Bowerman (Support)
- Mark "Pookz" Rendon (Support)
- David "dpei" Pei (Coach)
- Matthew "Bloxi" Kimble (Analyst)
