Wolf continuing to strike again,
As a Brit who will obviously be taking an interest in the London team, this news is bittersweet. It's fantastic they'll have an absolutely incredible team, stacked full of superstar players and will no doubt be one of the favourites to win. On the other hand, where are the top tier British players that we know and love? No Boombox, Numlocked, MikeyA, Kruise, Chrisfer, Smex etc etc . Guess that's the way OWL is though, the cities the franchises belong to don't matter (well the Western ones anyway)
remiska [#3]expected
Yep, knew it had to be C9 when alicus said its someone who already purchased a kr team. It looks like theyre doing what I was hoping as well and basically having both teams as the full OWL roster. Lotta flexibility that way they should be a really good team theoretically

Ye. I wanna cheer for NY but something about it being KR players....idk. Its just like, whats the point of major city teams?
"Ok, chaps, we've bought the London spot, and we've got c9 teams from NA and EU. Surely we can build a team to contend with the combined power of two Overwatch teams... Wait, New York signed a team of Koreans? That's alright with their fans? They're going to destroy us? Well then, I guess we'd better sign a third Overwatch team. I hear these KDP blokes are the consensus best team in the world that hasn't already been signed in OWL... Wait, our Koreans lost? These GC Busan upstarts beat them 4-0? You're telling me our three Overwatch teams aren't going to be enough if someone else picks these guys up? Well, I guess there's only one thing to do. Lads, it seems like three wasn't enough, so we here at Cloud 9 are buying four Overwatch teams. Surely, with this many players, one of them will remember not to get off the objective during overtime!"
But in all seriousness this team will absolutely pound.

THANK YOU. I'm a New Yorker as well and I feel the exact same way.

If you can't beat them, buy them.

I said this before and people complained when I used Misfits as my example but hey, OWL is fantastic and I'm sure tons of New Yorkers will flock to see a full Korean lineup who don't speak English eh.
