I think this will probably be the battle for 2nd in the group, though a lot can happen and things might go in a totally different direction, for now I see both of these teams losing the Taiwan and fighting for their chance at a playoff spot.
Sinatraa will get the charge, he's good enough on Zarya to farm it in almost any given situation. It's more a matter of how much pressure they apply on Rawkus, cause it looked like his priority was Sinatraa whenever he was involved in a fight.
I mean he was at a 100 against a Zenless Tracerless dive on Hollywood A.
Blue [#3]if Brazil lets Sinatraa get the Zarya charge he had vs NZ its GG
WELP, time to watch Brazil get stomped...
I feel bad for Brasil, they seemed like genuine nice dudes in their intro clip.
Liko's genji is doing work for them though, even though I feel like Neil and Murizzz are struggling together. Neil dies first so much it's crazy.
This should be a 4-0, even with the way Horizon is going right now, but I hope they get the W tomorrow.
ideekae [#11]too late brazil didnt get that message by hollywood
one thing I've always noticed about pros is they still shoot zarya bubbles knowing what a charged zarya can do, but a guy like sinatraa should be a guy they stop shooting.
Pixelfish [#16]That's what I'm talking about. All you doubters scram
I don't think anyone doubted USA vs Brazil. The only team that can take maps off USA in their group is Taiwan.
There were plenty of people who thought Brazil might have been a surprise in this group. They've dominated the South American scene and the only times they played against non-SA teams, they were stuck with high ping. It turns out they can't really compete with some of the best in the world, after all.

A pro Zarya will always get charge, no matter what, otherwise there wouldn't be any pro Zarya. When you bubble somebody already taking fire, it's hard for the enemy team to stop shooting.
A pro Zarya is more about Cooldown management, survivability and ult farming imo.

You could argue the same thing about Taiwan, they didn't play any NA/EU/KR teams and they're topping their region quite decisively. It's just speculation, nothing is for certain until stage day.

Absolutely. They were both kind of unknowns (though, Australia's success already said something about Taiwan, who consistently beats them).

1) will always get charge (sure, but not highly SUSTAINED charge). Its not hard for peeps to stop shootin zaryas bubbles. You saw it when Reinhardt wouldnt fire strike her anymore to give her charge (with the reduction of how much charge from 40 to 20). Then teams learned how to stop shooting at her because teams found out, a low charge zarya is useless. Its called discipline. Buffs to other char led to her being not in the meta. Now we see her being used because of buffs/nerfs to other characters like Rein, her own buff to grav etc.
2) i agree.
Brazil should have been able to take Horizon but their ult management and engagements really gave that one away. USA just capitalized on every single mistake they were given/caused.
Very good match by USA but certainly a disappointing performance by Brazil as they just weren't able to take advantage of their opponent's mistakes at crucial times.

Of course it's not hard for players to stop shooting a zarya bubble used preemptively. What I'm saying is, if you look closer, you'll see that the best Zaryas bait (in a good way) teammates when taking fire.
What do you do when a Winston/Rein/ulting Genji etc, is in your face with a Zarya shield on him ? You can't just leave him be, and good Zaryas find those situations to take advantage of every ~8 seconds.
As I said, there wouldn't be any Zarya player if players could just stop shooting shields, it's more complicated than that. I'm a bad Zarya, and when I see the positioning and patience some of these players have with their shields and how it pays off afterwards it's honestly impressive.
USA looked really weak on Horizon both days. Sure, they managed to win anyway, but compared to the other maps it just doesn't seem like they're comfortable with it enough. Any team better than Brazil would likely take it from them...if they can make it through whoever they'll face from group H, they better practice it before BlizzCon!
