From what were seen so far Effect is one trick tracer while lui played few herose, genji included and the thing envy lacks most is flexibility

No? He's just saying you can't judge people's skills on heroes you haven't seen them play. EnVy probably knows EFFECT can flex to other heroes too and that is why they are letting Lui go.

The widow argument is odd and a bit extreme, honestly at that level he arguably could have others heroes he plays at a high enough level for PRO play but we won't know until they feel the need to bring them out. As Kryma eluded to I assume that nV has seen more to him than just his Tracer if Lui was released, else they might once again fall prey to that inflexibility that doomed them in season 2.

Considering how strong some of the other Korean teams have gotten it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to have a backup plan.

One trick has a negative connotation so when you call EFFECT a one trick you're sort of saying he's a bad player. You also can't say envy lacks flexibility when they came back from an 0-2 deficit.

One trick indeed has the negative connotation of either choosing to play only one hero or being significantly worse on every other hero. You can't use that to classify EFFECT at all lol. Didn't he say he plays Genji on his rank #2 account?

I think it's good for both Lui and NV for this outcome. Lui has kind of proven himself in terms of standard and NV can fully focus on working as a 6 man team without having to worry or slot in time to practice with a 7th.

The current lineup of NV might have been the most flexible one by far and perhaps in the entirety of western teams. Feels like they have a lot of back pocket strategies that they're just withholding until they really need to or want to bring them out so it may seem like they always run the same composition / style even if they are competent in running other things.

I'm pretty sure effect said he got to rank 2 in korea on gengi, so I doubt he won't be able to flex on to him.
