Overwatch World Cup 4Head
Misfits are kinda going through a trial by fire here having a little over a week to prepare (judging from when the news of the trades first broke) but a couple of them have faced LH before. To me, a big question is if this Misfits roster will still have an anti-meta mentality despite their revamped roster.
?
this game has a new "best composition" every month or less. it will probably change soon though i don't get how this phase is more skill-less than the previous. the game has never been about individual mechanical skill. always team composition, coordination, synergy. at a certain level every player should be able to move and aim well, i think putting too much concern into that is a reason a lot of western teams are struggling with korean teams.
and to be fair, Lunatic-Hai had run two DPS heroes multiple times in the games, and Misfits decided to stick with 3-4 tanks permanently iirc and lost.
The game has until now always been about individual mechanical skill. It has been determined and dominated by the invididual talent of Surefour, Tviq, Taimou, SDB, Soon, Nevix and so on. And western teams didn't have any real struggle with the korean teams. Until now they won every asian tourney they participated in. And NRG and Reunited were and are still in a huge slump.
What is every player at a certain level able to do - is to coordinate and compose the team. This is not Dota where you click one unit on a two-dimensional scree. This is fps.
I guess by playing in "competitive" you have gained a deeper understanding of what upper pro level is about? Like you can probably gain unique insight into NBA playoffs by practicing in your backyard?
I guess you've never played dynamic FPS's competitively?
That was shitty and reactive of me. Sorry.
