As said before me, the Overwatch Open had a lot of great matches. This one was my favorite, as I said in Pixelfish's thread: https://youtu.be/RnH5AaVAkfc?t=9m56s

I'm skipping the first two but I'll admit I rooted for LG Evil to the end.
What's your favorite ever match of Overwatch? Misfits vs Rogue in the Overwatch Open Semis. Was a real exciting match to watch and I'll never forget Hidan's clutch sleep darts on Hollywood.
Who are your mains? Winston, D.Va, Tracer. I mostly play tanks and supports. Tracer is an exception to that rule (with the occasional S76).
What's your favorite movie? How to Train Your Dragon 2. I still love animated movies quite a bit!
What's your favorite food? Corn casserole/pudding. I love corn-based foods and potato-based foods a lot. For dessert, it would have to be cheesecake (specifically something different than original, like a chocolate cheesecake).
What's your favorite over.gg member? I love all of you equally. jk nerds poi98 for life
What is your favorite flag? Kosovo
no california flag to give to san francisco overwatch league team FeelsBadMan
Old enough to be signed, but not old enough to play right off the bat. I don't remember the exact cutoff date to be 18, but it's sometime between April and June. However, the season starts in January and it has been stated that players can't participate until they are 18 (or of the age of majority in their country).
Sinatraa and Super will not be old enough to play until midway through the season, so they needed people to fill in their roles for the time being. As for someone getting dropped when those two are of age, that shouldn't happen because OWL contracts are for one year. All of these players, and anymore should they decide to sign anyone else, will be on their roster for the whole season.

where is the love for my boy hidan
Actually, according to CLG's announcement, some of them already have found new homes.

BOOM ESPORTS OR RIOT
meet me at freedom park and we will cry about it together
I found this: http://www.fclahti.fi/uutiset/2017/08/04/fc-lahti-mukaan-esportsiin
It seems to be a team actually owned by a soccer team.
It is mathematically impossible, their map score is too low for them to have a chance.
Also, a note for those trying to look ahead at the playoffs: while this week is huge for playoff implications, it will not decide who goes in and who goes out. In fact, 4 losses won't even put a team out of it as there could be a 3 way tie for 4th with a 3-4 record on the final week. Unless your team is Immortals or Renegades, your team won't be out of it even with a bad showing this week.
sorry my title writing continues to OWL short of my fellow writers
this is the week i begin my incredible comeback btw
sharing is caring, you both pee into the same urinal
Refer to this post if you want a refresher on the teams currently reported to be in OWL:

a story we published before it was posted to our forums PogChamp
my picks are too in line with everyone else's i'm losing my touch
That's still notable since Remix likely won't be able to play this week
I can't believe you guys are arguing about Seagull when this is the most wholesome thing anyone has ever said on this website.
It says in the article his price jumped up because NRG and C9 entered a bidding war. Seoul was likely uncontested in signing LH, so they will probably make less than Sinatraa does. I can't imagine EnVy's roster signing with someone else and risk being split apart, but another team might try to begin a bidding war for their players so there's a chance they could hit that price. As for LW Blue, I have no idea, but it sounds like that there was little competition in that signing either, so it's probably less than Sinatraa's contract, too.
someone please tell mert to stop paying off teams to match his predictions
wtf how can i trust an analyst who doesn't even know the lore smh sideshow
I couldn't tell you which teams I'd want to see by the first season, but I know there's quite a few places I'd want teams by the time the OWL hits its cap (I believe the end goal is 28? That could be wrong or it could change, though). I am going to go strictly outside of the United States because I feel you can use any number of large cities to fill in the rest of the open spots.
-Another South Korean team
-Tokyo
-An Australian team, Melbourne and Si-Sydney are probably the best two options, I would agree
-Paris
-Berlin
-Rio
-Moscow
-Toronto
-Beijing
-Taipei
-Bangkok (Didn't consider this until Kuroi's reply, but this would honestly be a good spot)
-2 to 3 other European teams, I wouldn't know which cities exactly but there are some good choices in Italy, Spain, England, Germany, and Russia in particular. Maybe Stockholm or Helinski could get a spot?
-Possibly another South American team depending on how well received the Rio spot is, either Santiago or Sao Paulo
These, on top of the 10 spots we already know, make up 23 to 25 spots. There are a lot of good places in the US, Canada, Korea, and Europe that could compete for the last 3 to 5. Of course, I doubt all of these spots will happen in the real world because I don't have a great understanding of how other countries would take to a global competitive league and how travel would work between countries already in the OWL and countries involved in my proposed cities.
i didn't even consider that possibility, you have now given me a sliver of hope to hold onto fellow charlotte-area overwatch fan
I think often times people more familiar with Western rosters and players don't understand the impact of roster changes until they happen. Jaru flew under the radar for a lot of people, even those in the west, because he played for middling Toronto Esports roster that didn't get much screentime, and he likely would not have ended up on very many lists, if any, of top 10 North American DPS players before joining EnVision. Other players perform much better on some teams than they do others, and it can be difficult to tell if it has to do with team chemistry, their skill improving or degrading, or if is because they are on a roll or stuck in a rut. I personally believe Clockwork has played much better at a much more consistent rate on FNRGFE than he ever did on Splyce, NRG, or Gale Force.
All that being said, I don't think a little discussion and debate on which players are the best in the west hurts anyone, and may give you an idea of who to keep an eye on. I'd just take it all with a grain of salt.
too bad i'm about to nail every game perfectly for the rest of the season
:candle: FatCat :candle:
if envision can start 2-0 against rogue and immortals then the usa can beat korea
actually i got none perfect
graceful has fully integrated with the thai people
i'm going to get exposed NotLikeThis
i am the least qualified of the four to be picking games
Libalent's first map win this tournament is off of Flash Wolves.
mert is crying somewhere
wtf you can't just spit on all of our propaganda to fool the public into thinking rogue and envyus are american
My dream team composed of the current North American free agent pool would now be Jake, train, Voll, super, rob420, and Avast. I think that group of players has a lot of potential.
FatCat is back and ready to rise to the upper echelons of korean competition
that is a puerto rico flag, the blues and reds are swapped for cuba's
god tier clip
If these past few days become the standard rather than the exception we could be in for a very different looking top 10 next month!
EnVision is the first western team to defeat Rogue in 2017.
